Vehicle Details
1973 Dodge Charger SE. Was originally a 400/727 car with white paint and a red side stripe and blue painted roof. It was found in a field after being abandoned since the late 80 s at only 27,000 original miles. It was rebuilt for the first time in 2003 and after a small engine fire was converted to its current configuration in 2010. It starts and runs strong but has been sitting for 4-5 years so needs a tune up, paint job, and a few parts here and there. The car wasn't built to be original in any way, more of an old style hot rod build. I would love to clean it up and daily it again but classic story, little kids at home and not enough time. If you've ever driven one of these you know they're a BOAT but I've lightened it up over 500 lbs over the years with the modern drivetrain and fiberglass and now with the modern steering it drives and maneuvers pretty well. Still not a track car obviously but much better than original. Some of the parts:2005 5.7 HEMI from 300 C that wrecked. 20,000 miles on this engine. Many aluminum parts were polished at the time and can be re-polished pretty easily. -2006 Ram 545 RFE 5 speed overdrive transmission and CPU flashed for this configuration.-Rocky Mountain custom gas tank and 99 corvette fuel pump. -Custom professionally built wiring harness. -Rack and Pinion set up from 2010 Nissan Maxima (randomly is the correct length for the original suspension)-Cooling system from 2006-era Mopar. -71 Charger tail lights. -Crager 15 x 8 and 9 inch chrome wheels (need polishing)-Dual exhaust with flowmaster 40 s-Custom grill -Six pack fiberglass hood. -Fiberglass bumpers and bumper brackets. -Push button start. -Optima trunk-mounted battery. -Leather-style vinyl upholstery (still in good shape)-Custom 'Vintage Air' air conditioning system (never charged)-Modern seat belts. -Power windows in front. -Dash from 08 dodge magnum. -Newer Stewart Warner digital gauges-Flaming river steering column-Grant Steering wheel-Push button blinkers-Pioneer speakers 6 1/2 and 9 inch rear (head unit was stolen and not replaced). Please contact me with serious inquiries only, the car can be seen and heard running in San Diego. No test drives, it is not currently insured or registered. Images
