This is a genuine low mileage Austin Mini 1000 with an MOT thru to Feb 2022.
It is a reliable runner which is still used to run errands locally a few times a week but sadly as it is no longer garaged the owner has decided to put it up for sale as he does not want to see it deteriorate!
The car has been in my friend's ownership for the past 12 years during which time it has covered less than 10,000 miles.
As the photos demonstrate there is extensive paperwork going back to an MOT from 1982.
During his ownership he has tackled all the major problems as and when they have arisen, it has received regular full engine services (new points, plugs, air filter, and battery, plus oil change), welding repairs to the NS/OS sills and rear subframe, rust repairs to front wing and other odd bits.
The speedometer has been recalibrated.
The photos are a fair reflection of this genuine unmolested car with a tidy interior - it can either be used immediately as a reliable classic, cosmetically improved with some TLC or form the base for an improvement/restoration project.
There are the usual signs of rust for which these cars are known i.e. on rear subframe, under the OS headlight together with some rust on the bottom of doors. None of this rust involves holes/penetrations and most of which can be seen on the photos. (Can provide a couple of other photos of the affected areas if required)
The car is registered as road tax-exempt, comes with two sets of keys, dust cover, steering wheel lock, and isolator switch for the battery
