o   The car was stripped down to bare fiberglass, properly treated, primed, and repainted its factory correct white

o   Interior refinished and all parts needing attention were taken care of. 

o   New door panels carpet refinished seats etc.

o   New power window motors and power door lock switches

o   Upgraded to LED headlights, turn signals and brake lights

o   All new weather seals for doors, windows even gas tank filler seal is new

o   Even The radio works (upgraded rear speakers)

o   Equipped with Factory A/C and upgraded to Modern Freon input

What is so special about a 1982 Corvette?

·       1982 was the first year a Corvette base price exceeded $20,000

·       The last year of the body style that was introduced in 1968

·       The last year of the frame that was introduced in 1963

·       No manual transmission cars were built this year, the first time since 1955

·       The new "Cross-Fire" fuel injection was introduced with computers controlling two fuel injectors making up to 80 adjustments per second to enhance drivability and fuel economy

·       This was the first fuel injected Corvette in 20 years, it also raised horsepower by 10hp

·       A solenoid operates a small flap in the hood allowing fresh air into the engine during full-throttle acceleration

·       A new automatic transmission has locking in all but first gear

·       The exhaust system was re-engineered to use smaller catalytic converters

·       The Bowling Green plant closed in October of 1982 to begin re-tooling for the new 1984 C4 Corvette

·        350 cubic-inch (5.7L) Crossfire Injection engine (RPO L83) 9.0:1 Compression Ratio

·        Four-speed automatic, which was basically the previous three-speed Turbo-Hydra-Matic with a long-striding overdrive fourth gear tacked on
