An amazingly fascinating project that might suit someone converting to an Electric Vehicle or complete as petrol driven, with Twin Cam or other.

Lotus Elan lightweight 26r bodyshell with extensive modifications.

Chinese eye conversion, bonded and strengthened doors flush with body.

Comes with bonnet, boot lid special spoiler not fixed and bumpers. 

Very Light weight raw 26r chassis.

Steering rack and column. The car could be either RHD or LHD 

Fibreglass and metal hoop body parts to incorporate behind seats.

Special Fibreglass seat. Race seat available.

Several suspension and brake parts, see pictures.

The sum of the parts from Lotus Specialist Tony Thompson plus other parts and the value of the documents comes to over £17,000 - this was to become THE ultimate Elan.

However, my other racing 26r is taking my sparse time now so this one is sadly for sale.

With the fast progress of electric conversions this would make the idea candidate.

Note: This car is considerably lighter than a regular Elan shell and chassis like Jay's or Mark's, so it's potential power to weight is phenomenal. 

It could be one of the lightest EV's.
