1970 is where it all started. 1,769 Ram Air III - 4 speed Trans AM's were built that year. The styling changes were so well received by the automotive public that it would start a 12 year run that would usher in some of the only true performance cars of the mid to late '70's. Shaker Hoods, Wheel Well Flairs, Engine Turned Dashes and Big Anti-Sway Bars were all new and standard on the Trans AM and stayed with the car all the way through 1981.

This beautiful Trans AM was recognized and signed by two Pontiac Icons at the Trans AM Nationals.

John Schinella - Pontiac - Chief of Designer and Jim Shook - Pontiac - Principle Designer both signed the Core Support on this Trans AM.

This beautiful example has only 11,603 Miles on the car and the title. It has very few miles on the restoration and has been detailed to a very high level. It suffered a major engine failure early in its life, so a correct WS code 400 was sourced from another Trans AM that was rebuilt and installed. The finish was upgraded just due to its age. The old single stage paints just show their age after 50 years. So this Trans AM was treated to a fresh coat of Code 10, Polar White. The interior is all original and in near perfect condition. Everywhere you look, this Trans AM will impress. It is hard not to keep this one and hide it away in our collection. Maybe you should consider adding it to your garage!

The purchaser is responsible for any transport fees, but we can help arrange an open or enclosed carrier to deliver the vehicle to your door at a wholesale rate as well.
