We (Clydesdale Classic Cars) are predominately a Classic Car Restoration and Repair business and we come across a lot of MGB's. They are still an extremely popular car however, they do suffer quite badly with corrosion and in most cases they are not repaired to an acceptably good standard, this car is most certainly an exception.

This is an older restoration and although it isn't a perfect car and not been restored to our standards, it is a very solid car that needs no welding. It had a minor restoration and recommission in 2006 to what we would class as a good standard and is still in very good condition today, mostly because it has had very little use and has always been garaged. It also had other mechanical works carried out in 2009 including the gearbox replacement.

The main items we can see need doing could easily be carried out by most relatively competent DIY mechanics, although we can also carry out these repairs for the new owner if required. Some of the panel alignment needs addressed, the front shock absorbers would be better replaced, the engine bay needs a tidy and the dashboard would benefit from a refurbishment/re-paint. The stereo front panel is missing and the soft top is sitting a little high in the middle, the chrome bumpers are ok but not perfect and the rear needs some adjustment at the outer edges. There are some imperfections on the paintwork but they are quite minor at this point. The underside of the car is in good condition and there isn't anything we can see that would need attention.

Although I have listed the above items we would recommend are addressed, please understand that this is still one of the best, most solid and pretty MGB Roadsters we have seen in a very long time and if I was looking for one of these cars (I already own one), I would have no hesitation in buying this one.

12237 miles, we cannot guarantee the mileage however the engine runs smooth with good power delivery and good oil pressure.
