You are bidding on a freshly restored Morris Minor 1000. This Minor has European right hand drive complete with custom wooden steering wheel. Car was completely stripped down with many areas replaced with authentic English steel replacement panels. Engine is the original Austin 1098 4 cylinder with single SU HS2 carburetor. All valves, seats and springs were replaced along with all gaskets and seals and finished in the original English green paint. An new wiring harness and electronic distributer were added along with a alternator. A aluminum radiator with duel cooling fans keep it cool. New clutch, pressure plate, bearing and linkage bearings were also added which means it shifts flawlessly. The front suspension was rebuilt with an anti sway bar added. New rear leaf springs were added in the rear and 4 new radial tires were mounted on classic Mini-lite wheels. A stainless steel exhaust system and oversized gas tank were also installed. Entire car was coated in epoxy primer and several coats of Anthracite Gray metallic Urethane and finished with Urethane gloss clear coat. Sound deadening board was added to all floors and inside doors. A "Newton" interior package of saddle brown seat covers and panels with brown carpets and foot pads were installed with the seats getting custom logos embroidered into each back rest. A gray headliner was also installed. All lighting was replaced with new units and covers. Minors were certainly not rockets and this is no different. The engine is rated at 49hp with a top speed of around 69mph. With a weight of around 1600 lbs. it is respectable for its power and is a nice comfortable ride. Attached are some pictures of work being done and of course the finished product.
