Relisting due to a time waster who won the auction then claimed he was drunk at 9am and shouldn't have bid !

Looking for a quick sale as a result.


Time for a refresh of my cars as I'm moving more towards classic rallying.

Most of my rallying in the 80s and 90s was in 205 GTis from Group N to a full works car. I was keeping this car and all my old ex-works parts (will be advertised over the next few days) for posterity and to compete in the new Category 4 Historic class next year. However I have to be realistic and I just don't have time to do everything I was thinking of - I'll be focusing on HRCR Clubman and HERO events next year. and my son on Rally First.

A very versatile car which can be used for tarmac or gravel stage rallies. road rallies (has headlining. just add carpet. any strapped down rear seats and remove vertical handbrake lever) or used as a track car - where else are you going to get proper Bilstein coil over front struts. adjustable wishbones. an LSD. 1600 gearbox final drive. good brakes. cage. seats. harnesses. put together properly. for this sort of money ? Far better than many of the so called "track day" cars out there. These cars with the correct homologated parts. as fitted to this car. can only increase in price.

This 205 has proven fantastic. very reliable. loads of torque. a great starter rally car with all the right parts :

Engine registered 126bhp on rolling road. Loads of torque. drives really well.

26th overall on 2011 2WD Tempest Rally. Would have been first Peugeot but no lamp pod. dropping down heavily on the last stage as my son couldn't see where he was going !

Will need seats and harnesses updating for 2014. but in date seats and harnesses can be supplied at additional cost.

It's a rally car. it has several bumps and scrapes. Needs a rear bumper which will be supplied. but bumper strong and presentable today with black duct tape applied on last event.

Occasional starting problem. has to be something simple with a connection on starter exciter wire. cut out switch or starter motor.

12 months MOT. tax can be negotiated. no tax included in this auction.
