Morris 8 two seat tourer 1935. Pretty car in very good condition with few owners for sale

Current customer rating: current rating for this car(2.25) based on 320 votes
I am selling this desirable 1935 Morris 8 Series 1 two seat tourer on behalf of a gentleman friend (he doesn't use computers) who bought it locally in October 2000 and has kept it under covers in a heated garage with only occasional use ever since. It has been started up and moved around the owner's property from time to time and is in full working and driving order. A brand new 6 volt battery has just been fitted. The car was well restored prior to it's current ownership and has covered only 30 miles since it was last MOT'd in June 2001. the mileage being added when it was taken to a local classic car show. It is of course MOT exempt and costs nothing to TAX. currently being SORNed. The car has only had 4 previous owners. mostly in the Essex area. The current indicated mileage is 4298 miles. There are several old MOTs in the history file and it comes with an old log book showing the previous owners as well as the current V5C. There is also a softback manual covering the various Morris 8 models. The sturdy and quality period trunks seen attached to the luggage rack in photo number 4 are included in this sale. The hood is in very good condition and could be improved as it has faded a little. Whilst it is in very good overall condition there are some minor blemishes to the paintwork upon closer inspection and one or two other details that could be improved. The tyres. including the rear mounted spare all have good tread. There is a general patina to it making this more of a useable car than a concours contender as it currently stands. The new owner would be wise to give the car a thorough check over if they intended to use it regularly due to it's light use over the last few years. The two seat tourer version is the most desirable model from the Morris 8 range and is a very pretty car indeed. First registered in July 1935 it has a number of improvements over the very first Morris 8s that were introduced 9 months before. The model is well supported by a great owners club and specialists with a good spares back up. No messers please and I politely ask for anyone with less than 10 positive ebay feedback points to contact me with assurances of good intent before bidding as I may remove potentially spurious bids. Overseas bidders are also asked to contact me prior to bidding. I do not seek offers outside ebay and invite anyone with a serious and genuine interest to go ahead and bid on it so long as they are prepared to honour their legal obligations if successful. The car is being listed without a reserve so would sell if there was only a single bid. At that sort of price it would represent terrific value. The car can be taken away once full payment has been made and it requires trailering of course as it has not been driven on the road for quite some time. Purchaser to arrange own removal. Contact me if you are serious and wish to view the car as it is kept 2 miles from my place and I am handling everything on behalf of the owner.
