1979 international scout

I have a walk around video upon request.Up for sale is a 1979 Scout II with rally stripes. I acquired this vehicle with the intent to keep it and enjoy. I decided I could use the money more than this cool truck. The gentleman that I acquired it from told me it got parked many years ago due to the shift shaft seal leaking on the transmission. I was also told that this was it originally a Nevada Scout and ended up making its way to Colorado. Everything on the drivetrain seems to be working as it should. It shift smoothly and is able to maintain highway speeds pulling big Hills is no problem.I've owned and been around Scouts for a long while, this was the most rust free straight Scout I've encountered. There was a small rust spot on the outer rocker so I ordered new sheet metal and it came as a pair. So I replaced both rockers to play it safe, please inspect pictures. There also was a very small pen hole of rust coming through the lower B pillar again please look at pictures. The windshield frame also had a pinhole so I cut out and replace more than needed and it really wasn't that bad. Again I was planning on keeping this so I thoroughly went through it to make sure no rust would come back. I also sprayed rust prohibitor in the spots that were cut open. I would describe the quality of paint a nice driver quality it has dust and it here and there its not perfect but nice. The interior is new with exception of the headliner being original but is in good shape. The side covers on the top where repainted. All new door and hatch seals new door whiskers. The upper door panels are original and in great shape. The lower half with carpet and it was replaced. New windshield wipers. New dash cover.The Scout is equipped with a 345 v8 engine with a thermo-quad 4-barrel carburetor that I had to replace a couple seals. The transmission is a torqueflite 727. I replace the shift shaft seal. I originally thought it was just an transmission pan gasket so I bought a service kit for it that I will include. The pan was not leaking I installed new transmission fluid. Dana 20 transfer case that shifts into high and low range 4 wheel drive without problem. New tires! The front and rear axles are Dana 44 the Scout also has a tow hitch I fixed all the leaks and doesn't seem to be leaking anymore. I have no idea if the engine and transmission was ever rebuilt. I'm also unsure if the mileage is 23,000 miles or 123000. Overall this is a very fun and nice driving vehicle. I'm going to list this vehicle with the reserve of an offer that I have on it. Please ask questions and ask your wife first lol before bidding and I'll happily answer any questions you have. I would highly recommend seeing in person before bidding if possible. Comes with newish spare tire not pictured. also the wing window weather strip is in poor shape I made them look the best I could. they are unavailable or I would of replaced them. the front grill was peeling I rewrapped it with a chrome vinyl looks better then it did, but not perfect.
