Mini Rio 1993 Full Cooper Spec with Professional Engine Build

We are looking for a caring new home for our beloved Mini.

We have owned him since 2008 when we bought him having just had a full bodywork and interior renovation and respray in the original pearlescent Caribbean Blue unique to the limited edition Rio of which only 750 were produced.

So. the bodywork was immaculate but the engine was using some oil. so in the autumn of 2008 we took him to local Mini specialists ML Motorsport who carried out a complete engine and gearbox rebuild. complete suspension overhaul including new hi-lo rubber cones and uprated KYB dampers.

The engine work was carried out to ML Motorsports "Fast Road" specification which includes a 1310 cc kit. with 1275 cam. HIF 44 carb. new clutch and balanced and lightened flywheel.

As if that were not enough. we have had a premium sound system professionally fitted by Alarming Entertainment with 4 Alphasonik speakers and a top end Alpine head unit also providing crystal clear bluetooth for your phone via the speaker system.

So you have both the engine and ICE!

When we bought him. the MOT showed 68 k recorded miles. however the current MOT shows 5 k miles as the clocks were replaced and this is the distance traveled since ML Motorsport carried out the engine work.

Additional parts replaced include water pump. fuel pump. coil. radiator. alternator. clutch slave cylinder. rear subframe.

I have

boxes full of receipts detailing everything that has been done in recent years.

The car has recently had a full service and is ready to go.

The car is very comfortable on the motorway and will keep up with modern traffic easily. surprising a good few not hatches too. handling is superb benefitting from improved compents and slightly wider tyres which allow for good rubber without being so wide that the legendary Mini handling is ruined.

We have a current valuation certificate of £5. 00 from the British Mini Club for our agreed insurance valuation policy.
