Engine & Transmission

- Standard Engine internals

- 4 Speed Overdrive Gearbox (working)

- 32/36 DGV Weber Carb

- 3 to 1 steel exhaust manifold

- Electronic distributor (points removed)

Engine starts, runs and pulls well, never had any problems.

Wheels & Tyres

- Excellent condition Minator Anthracite 5.5 X 15 inch

- Excellent 185 wide Dunlop tyres.

- Minor blemishes

Suspension & Steering

- Polly bushed all round

- Parabolic rear springs with lowering blocks

- Competition front springs

- Spax shocks front & rear

- Rear Panrod kit supplied in the sale to stop the rear axle float. ( Not fitted )

- Suspension wise everything has been replaced in the last 5 years, not new but minimal mileage.

Interior

- Faux leather seating with red piping.

- Carpets have been replaced at some point, not brilliantly but still pretty smart.

- No heater controls, replaced by gauges.

- Rear tailgate struts could do with refurbing. I'm never sure they will hold the tailgate up for an extended period of time.

Brakes

All of the braking system has been changed in in the last 5 years, from new callipers to new master cylinder. The MOT last year highlighted that the rear brake shoes need equalising as its braking better on one side. There is a little too much travel in the brake pedal and that was on my 'to do' list but she brakes well.

Exterior & Bodywork

The pictures speak for themselves and no MGB is perfect so I will highlight what I feel are the most 'concerning' areas.

- The windscreen has a 2 fine scratches on the passenger side which was made by a perished wiper blade (not during my ownership!). I have been reluctant to change the windscreen as they are difficult to see from inside the cabin. A specialist did tell me they can be polished out (well almost).

- At the bottom of the drivers side A pillar there is a hole about the size of a 5p piece.

- There are some minor filler cracks where the rear fiberglass Sebring valance meets the metal bodywork.

Overall the bodywork is in pretty good condition with some minor bubbling and blemishes here and there.
