MGB GT

Welcome to the auction of our stunning MGB GT ‘Marcia'.Marcia was painted in the rare colour of Chartreuse and first registered in August 1977 and supplied by Stevenage Motor Co to the paint manufacturer ICI where she was destined to be used in their automotive paint brochures. She returned to Stevevenage Motor Co in October 1979 whereupon she was purchased for £3595 by Mrs Piper. Marcia stayed in Mrs Pipers ownership until 2018 whereupon she went into the ownership of Antingham Motors who had maintained the car whilst in Mrs Pipers ownership. Marcia led a very pampered life as Mr & Mrs Piper spent their winters in Cyprus returning home for the English summers. Marcia was put into storage by Antingham Motors every winter and we have all of the letters from Mrs Piper asking for Marcia to be prepared for her return. The history file is amazing, every single hand written invoice is in the file as is every MOT certificate to verify the genuine low mileage of 69516!!!

No expense was spared on Marcias maintenance and she was treated to many upgrades as well. In 2003 she was treated to a full body restoration with front and rear wings, sills, floors, door skins etc being replaced. This was very much an ‘old school' restoration with every joint and seam being documented as having been lead loaded…..she is still in unbelievable condition!!!
