1996 Volkswagen Beetle 1600 i (Mexican Production)Volkswagen continued production of the original air-cooled Beetle in Mexico until 2004. Germany ceased production of the Beetle in 1978, where more than 16.2 million examples were built, Mexico continued production for another 39 years, where almost 1.7 million further examples were made, this making Beetle the longest-running and most-manufactured car of a single platform ever made.This example is a 1996-year model, having the exterior mouldings, door handles etc finished in matt black from the factory and paintwork finished in pearl Green metallic. Factory fitted with a 1600 cc fuel injected air-cooled VW engine, P 848 XHT is offered with a good service record and has covered 96,877 KMS from new, roughly 60,200 miles. The mileage is backed up with a good service record. Recent expenditure of £630, new rear tyres, front brake calipers, front lower arm ball joints, rear brake cylinders bill dated 23.10.2020.
