Welcome to the auction for this Porsche 356 replica.The car is one of three I had imported from South Africa back in April. I bought them as a job lot with the intention of renovating, registering and selling two and keeping one for myself.Unfortunately I have had little time to make progress and the garage I had lined up for the winter has fallen through so I've decided to sell this car to someone happy to pick it up as a project to give me more time to concentrate on the others that require even more work.I have the original South African registration document and import document and nova showing importation charges were paid. To register in the UK its necessary to get an MOT and then apply using the above documents on a V 55/5 form.Details on how to register here :
issue here is that I have lots of work on and there's quite a lot of small things to do to get the car through MOT. I did a pre-mot check at a local garage and have included a photo of the list of work to be done (see list in photo). None of the work is major - but I don't have time in the short term or a garage to do it in.Good bits about the car- all there & solid - nobody rust obviously and floor pans are good- engine runs- drives- interior has recently been redone but to a low spec- exterior clean lines - no door handles - the doors operate on a key fob/solenoid- disk brakes all round- good 1600 cc engine Bad bits- Paint work needs doing - lots of stone chips- Side screens - one is broken and neither fit well- lots of small mechanical jobs to get through MOT- wheels are ugly I have put the starting price on the car to cover my import charges - which you'd see from the import docs. If it doesn't sell I'll mothball somehow/where until the spring where I will be able to work on it again.Happy for prospective buyers to come and see first - in fact almost essential
