Here we have my fabulous 1977 Daimler Sovereign. She's the LWB version and the colour is   “Greensand” She's only had 4 previous owners and done a mere 64,000 miles backed up by a huge history file from new. She's been garage kept pretty much her whole life and I too keep her inside. I think this is why she's as good as she is and hasn't rotted away like so many have. She starts up fine from cold and has brilliant oil pressure... just over 40psi cold at idle and just over 40psi when warm going down the road. There's no overheating in any driving conditions, I've run her down the motorway and been stuck in heavy traffic with her. All with no issues. The engine sounds good with no knocks bangs or timing chain rattles.... The 3 speed BorgWarner automatic changes up and down as it should and the kickdown is all working. She drives down the road like a Daimler should, no clunks or bangs etc. She's just as happy to cruise down the Motorway as she is on a scenic A road, I've enjoyed using her most weekends and on nice days. August bank holiday alone I did nearly 450 miles in two days. She has four matching Bridgestone tyres on the original steel wheels. There's a matching spare and the original jack is in the bag still. All the chrome and stainless trim is good, all the glass is good, nothing is broken or missing and she still has her original dealer supplied number plates. Her paintwork is very very good, there's one small area that the lacquer has gone through and the odd very small mark here and there, there is also a little rust on the inner lips of the wheel arches and here and there but again nothing really and for her age the paint and body are in very good condition. Inside is gorgeous. The original seats (green to match the interior trim) have been replaced with tan seats from a series 3. There in good condition and very comfy. I have the original seats but the stitching will require some work before they can go back in. The replacements don't look out of place and most people don't even realise they are not the originals. The headlining has been done in the past and is like new. The carpets and door cards are near perfect. The dash and dash top have no damage and all dash lights and gauges work as they should. All four electric windows work as does the rear de-mist. What looks to be the original radio is still fitted and also works. There is nothing inside lost or brokenOverall a great looking and running Daimler that will grace any show-field or posh hotel car park. She gets lots of admiring looks when she's out and plenty of people want to talk with you about her. Please bear in mind she's 44 years old, so I dare say she's had a little paint work and been welded over the years. Please also bear in mind that if you buy her you might have to get your spanner's out from time to time. She's not new and I'm not selling her as such. Therefor no warranty is implied or given. She's sold as is where is. She can be viewed most afternoons after 330pm or most weekends. I also have plenty of photos should you need more. She's on sale from the start, feel free to make me an offer. If you pay the asking price I'll have her delivered to your door ( mainland UK only ) OR a brand new MOT put on for your piece of mind. I'm after a cash sale really as I have a new toy in mind but I might swap or PX with cash either way, try me, the worst I'll say is no. Cheers Craig
