1929 Studebaker Commander Eight

FIRST THINGS FIRST - WHY ARE WE SELLING? NEED TO KEEP PAYING FOR THE WIF'ES BREAST CANCER TREATMENTS, RECENTLY LOST MEDICAL INSURANCE COVERAGE. Prefer to keep the wife (36-years now) rather than the car...you guys that have been married for a long time will understand that.....100% Original 1929 Studebaker FD8-Regal. This is the upgraded 5-passenger, 4-door LUXURY Touring Sedan, not the cheaper standard family Commander model. FYI - NADA / J D Powers (August 2021) says "Average Retail" is $16,800, "High Retail" is $41,000 and "Concourse Condition" is well over $ 80,000, so I think we're being MORE than reasonable at the buy-it-now price, she's a stunning car...."Stude" has the world-record setting endurance straight 8-cylinder 2bbl carburetor, 3-speed manual transmission with the manually adjustable timing control (center of steering wheel), see close up picture. Studebaker was the ONLY car, (out of 100 cars entered) to finish the African Sahara Endurance Trials in 1930. The car went on to set endurance trials records all over the world for the next several years. DEPENDABLE - YOU BET !!We are, to the best of our knowledge, the 4th owner of this car and the odometer shows less than 4,000 miles on vehicle. Not bad for a car that's coming up 92-years old next year !There has been only 1 (documented) repaint since the car was new. BEAUTIFUL red with gray accents stripe with additional red pinstripes, running boards and fenders are a brilliant (shiny) triple tuxedo black. New grained vinyl top added about 2-years ago....black color to match the running boards and fenders. Complete interior renovation completed about 5-years ago, all new upholstery, head liner, door panels, etc. NO rips, tears, worn spots, or burns throughout. Interior - engraved door handles and window cranks, engraved cigar ash receptacle, hand blown crystal flower vases (2), three pull down privacy shades for rear seat area (still work !), custom wood trim on all four windows, passenger rope pull assist with pewter grab bar on back of front seat, flip-up foot rest in rear passenger area. EVERYTHING is in great condition and still works as if new. Original wood spoke wheel centers with steel rims, (includes the rear mounted spare tire/rim), original rear fender mounted luggage trunk, original (complete) Studebaker tool kit w/manual tire pump, original 1928 Elgin Electric clock above rear view mirror - still working !! Car is the original 6VDC positive-ground setup and has NOT been molested and changed to a 12VDC system.
