1964 Studebaker Daytona

With only 47,057 original miles!

This rust-free Daytona has a 259 V8 Engine, Automatic Transmission, Power Steering, Air Conditioning, New Brakes and Tires. Daytona's had wide side moldings, dual headlights, and 'Daytona' identification on the front fenders with the crossed checkered flag V-8 emblems located on the upper rear quarter panels. It was last driven in 1985 (37 years ago) and put in storage.

Description:

It came from a dry desert area near Spokane WA. and has factory Air Conditioning.

The previous owner decided to have it repainted from sun fading and then stored it in 1985.

The trim, emblems and chrome bumpers still look like new.

We decided to get it running and driving with the following done last summer:

·    * New oil & filter

·    * New oil pressure flex hose

·    * New air filter

·    * New Battery and battery hold own

·    * New rubber fuel lines and filter

·    * New fuel Pump

·    * New distributor cap, points, rotor

·    * New spark plug wires and plugs

·    * New upper, lower radiator hoses and clamps

·    * New rear axle cover seal and gear oil

·    * Pulled axles and repacked rear bearings

·   * New inner and outer axle seals

·    * New rear wheel cylinders and brake shoes

·    * New front wheel cylinders, brake shoes, seals

·   * New brake line flex hoses front & back

·    * New brake fluid and bleed brake system

·    * New muffler and rear exhaust pipe

·   * New Tires

Attention needed:

Although it starts easily, runs and drives, we found the #2 cylinder not providing power. The #2 cylinder has good compression and the engine has good oil pressure. It may require removal of head to repair, so we are listing this car accordingly.

The A/C seems to blow cool air, but recharging will be needed.

The power steering hoses were off when we got it, so we have new hoses, belt and power cyl repair kit included with the car.

Gauges, clock, lights, door & window seals all work fine except radio (may be fuse, or speaker).

We've only taken it on a quick test drive to show this video of running and driving.
