Where to start?  Well here we have a kit of  key parts required to build a very rewarding 1969 MGB Sebring racer replica with a 4 litre TVR engine to power it.   Reluctantly up for sale. as I have spent the last 18months or so looking for parts. but now realise that the old problem of too many cars and not enough time applies to me now as well.   So what. included?

1969 MGB Roadster - been laid up in a garage for the last 31 years. so needs  restoration.   As it was inside. most of it is still solid. the rear spring hangers. front trumpets are fine.  most of the floors. outer panels need repair rather than replace.   Sills and castle sections will need doing though.   As it was driven in there in 1982. I don't know the condition of the mechanicals as I have not tried to start it.   Also has early disc wheels. Alloy bonnet. leather interior and a strange hardtop. (Currently on an S reg. as was re imported back into the UK from Ireland in 78. I have the old V5 and mots. etc. plus the chassis number confirms a build date of between Aug - Dec 69. so there will be no problem in getting the original number or other 69 reg).   By the way the hardtop is always  on the car. its not open to the elements as in the photo.

Two V8 engines. 98 TVR Chimera with 60k on it and in excellent condition.   I bought it off a chap who was putting a 5 litre in his car.   An early Rover 3500 engine with manual gearbox. needed for the shorter front pulleys etc to fit the engine bay.   Carbs with the Rover engine and fuel injection and ecu with the TVR engine - you can choose which you ultimately use.

Alloy radiator (£450 from Cambridge Motorsport - not a cheap Chinese copy)

Sebring kit - 4 wings and rear valance (NO front valance or roll bar as shown in the photo - they have gone)

There is even a book on how to do the conversion. step by step.

So what would it be worth in parts?

Car  £1450

TVR Engine  and ancillaries (240 BHP)  £1000

Rover engine and Gearbox/ Clutch   £400

Wings and valance  £250

Radiator  £200

That's a total of £3300 at least. so close offers to this will be considered only. given all the travelling and research I have done to locate and collect the parts. I thinks that's fair.   Would consider to sell the car separately. if you don't want the other bits (£1450 firm).

Viewing welcome in Cardiff. thanks for reading.
