1967 E type for sale as I rationalise my collection. The Heritage certificate describes this car as a series 1 but it has the first of the post S1 modifications being an open headlight car. It was manufactured in dec 1967.This car was imported in early 2015 directly from Montana which is a low humidity mountain state where cars like this are not used during the winter - this matching number car is an unrestored survivor car which has been colour changed in side and out.The cars' original color scheme was Opalescent Golden Sand with a tan interior - this is why I bought it originally - these early coupes look stunning in Golden Sand. The car has been repainted many years ago to a good standard in an opalescent maroon colour and retrimmed in red. It was always my intention to return the car to its original colour, however the standard of the paint now is really nice throughout. The underbonnet is completely as original with the engine bay paint in good opalescent sand condition. The engine is matching, sounds superb and has triple SU carbs, all in keeping with the car having travelled 82,000 miles. The car drives and handles superbly. The car was last MOT'd in 2015 and has been in dry storage since almost, I'm condfident it would MOT again now.The car is almost entirely rust free with 1 tiny bubble in one door corner, and a 15mm hole in the surface of where the VIN plate mounts - its very clean and there is no other rust around it, I'm not sure what caused this - maybe water got in and sat there. The floors, sills, trunk floor, door edges, bonnet etc etc are in superb original unrestored condition. The whole body is dead straight with excellent panel gaps and fits as befits an unrestored car.The interior was retrimmed at some stage in the USA - not in the best quality but in good useable condition throughout. I recall the clutch felt weak the last time it was used, it may be an adjustment or it may need attention in the near future. I can see the upper screen finisher isn't fitted - I think I have it somewhere. The car has its original brown owners pouch containing the owners operating manual, in a separate red pouch is the overseas distributor book, Blaupunkt radio instructions (beautiful original Blaupunkt radio still fitted and working) and a copy of the original Montana title. There are 60 detailed images in this drive, please copy and paste the linkhttps://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1jI3feWvkiktmIWaHKO9V2xkdcPkH4H4K?usp=sharingPlease ask if you need more photos or other questions.
