1965 Buick Skylark Restored Power Steering & Brakes

1965 Buick Skylark Convertible powered by the original 300 cu. in. Wildcat V-8 rated at 310 h.p.

The Skylark was restored approximately 12 years and 1000 miles ago and it is still in excellent condition.

Total original miles show 99,000.

During the restoration a new top, interior, and all bodywork was addressed.

Since then, a small area in the lower left rear quarter panel (see photo) has started to show some rust and there is a dent on the rear corner of the same fender.

Everywhere else the car is solid including the floors and rocker panels.

Windows are all in good condition without any bubbling or fogging.

Exterior chrome is in good to excellent condition.

Missing ‘Skylark' emblem on left rear fender.

Additionally, a new fuel tank and lines were added, new brakes and hardware (stock power drum), oversized aluminum radiator, Edelbrock 600 cfm carburetor, chrome alternator, dual exhaust using Flowmaster mufflers, rebuilt power steering pump, and new suspension parts front and rear.

The short block of the engine was left stock and did not need rebuilding, but the cylinder heads were treated to a 3-angle valve job with hardened valve seats and new gaskets.

Also, a new 2-speed Power Glide with a stock converter was installed.

The factory gauges function normally including the temperature, fuel, speedometer, and odometer.

The original AM radio was refurbished and now plays both AM & FM stations.

Power top operates like new and has a glass rear window.

There is a slight tear on the inside near the zipper which does not appear to affect the seal of the window (see photo).

Another new top is included with the car and uses a plastic window.

No boot is included.

Currently the Skylark rides on 16” polished American Torque Thrust wheels with Kumho radial tires measuring 215/60 front and 245/50 rear.

But, the original 14” 5-spoke Buick wheels and center caps (which are in excellent condition) are included, along with new bumpers (front & rear), new rear chrome valence and taillights, and window channel inserts.

Selling due to too many toys.
