1988 GMC Vandura vandura 1500

Hello, i will try to make this short. this van was used on and off most of its life. parked around 2006 and became storage till a few months ago. it was parked on cement to protect it but was not covered to the elements of weather. a local mechanic came over to get this van running to see what it needs. he brought a battery, loosen the brakes, do an once over to see if it runs and it did. be were able to start and move the van on its own. after a few times moving it on the property the fuel pump stopped working. looking it up ebay sells one for 85.00 including the sending unit. that mechanic was going to be the one to install it last week but my area of nj flooded with water pretty bad and he is swamped with repairs for the next few months so he has no time to take care of it. ( this van was no where close of any floods ). even since my plan was to keep it it needs to go. my town wants to summon me till i remove it from the property and my wife thinks i am crazy to keep it. we been selling all my grandfather's stuff on ebay so might as well try this. ............................................................As far as the van goes it seems to be the strip down version with a radio. it has some rust/rot in the rocker panels as pictured. the drivers door has damage as well. has your average wear and tear anything has for the age and the pictures speaks more about what your getting. the good is the wheel wells, floor, and sub frame all look solid to me. the main reason this is a Rare van is the 3 speed with over drive transmission in it. the shifter looks similar to a flat hurst shifter handle. to some the van is restorable and usable. to me i wanted to find a shorty v8 van maybe with a posi and add this whole trans set up in it. everything you need like the cross member, pedals, linkage, steering column, and so on to switch over is here and original. i havent found that van yet and now i ran out of time. .......................................You will be buying an AS-IS no guarantees no refunds no returns no warranties a project, non running & driving van. please set up a time to view this van prior to the auction ending to realize what exactly you will end up with. the tires hold air. it moves freely on its own for pushing or towing. we have the the title, keys and owners manuals/papers. the milage on the title states 88,000 back in 1999 so i feel and it looks like 101k on it now, the title must be filled out to the new owner of the van, no exceptions. i will answer any questions and feel free to leave your phone number so i can call you to discuss further. highest bidder wins it or unless i sell it to one of you first. please leave 300.00 non refundable deposit and the rest can be discussed. over all if you know what you are getting then you are the person who should end up with this van. good luck and again contact me at any time. thank you .........ALSO PLEASE DO NOT BID ON THIS VAN IF YOU DO NOT PLAN ON PAYING AND TAKING IT HOME WITH YOU.
