MARCOS MANTARAY V8 SPYDER

As much as it pains me to type this advert. I am unfortunately going to have to sell my beloved Mantaray. I would love to continue with the pleasure of having this car in my garage. but sadly it has to come to an end.

I have been a massive Marcos fan for many years. and previously owned a 1969 'woody' 3 litre and a 1971 steel chassis 3 litre. When I first laid eyes on the Mantaray though. I said that one day I would have one. I've owned this one for five or six years now with absolutely no regrets. Having met and exchanged details with the previous owner whilst giving another Mantaray a viewing. an opportunity arose to purchase this car 'off market' and I jumped at the chance.

It was as simple as that.

All I can say is these pictures (although very good) do not do it justice in any way. It is by far the best looking sports car ever made. and with the 3. 9 V 8 engine. it certainly gives you the smile factor!

If you are looking at buying one of these you should already know the spec. and I imagine that perhaps you would have already seen one on the road and fallen in love. just like I did. For those that don't know the details. here is the spec of my car:

I looked around for quite a while when I decided that I needed to have one of these. and this one was by far the best I'd seen. I will be devastated to see it go. but at the same time I would love for the new owner to experience the pleasure that I've had owning this car. I am a genuine seller and have nothing at all to hide. I am open to answer any questions and will gladly accommodate viewings if required. This car is awesome. and I'm pretty sure that if you come and drive it you will buy it!

The car is the first factory Mantaray and comes with a large history file. long MOT and the Agreed insurance value is £17 k

During last winter the following work was also carried out:

New shocks and springs fully adjustable (SPAX)

Full service

Chassis stripped and reprimed / painted in POR 15

Lower / longer sump fitted to improve ground clearance

Limited Slip Diff serviced by TVR specialist Grantura.

Comes with 2 original keys. and the history file plus owner's manual and a pile of receipts.

I completely love the car and am genuinely sad to be writing this advert. but I just cannot justify keeping it as it is not getting the use it deserves. I am a genuine seller with other car 'fish to fry' and I cant do everything!

Please. no tyre kickers or time wasters. I have been completely honest in my description. and would appreciate only genuine buyers to enquire.

Please note. I will only let you test drive the car if you bring proof of insurance. driving licence. and a £500 cash deposit. Otherwise. I will do the driving!

This is a real head turner. Classic MG's etc. will NOT give the pleasure that this Marcos can deliver I can guarantee that!
