About this vehicleThis 1983 Nissan 280ZX is an original. The owner has had it for 1 year. The vehicle runs great and is mainly used for weekend drives.Vehicle Details

This 1983 Datsun 280ZX is finished in gold and brown over tan cloth upholstery, and power is provided by a fuel-injected 2.8-liter inline-six paired with a five-speed manual transmission . Equipment includes a T-bar roof with removable panels, rear window louvers, a vented hood with a NACA duct, air conditioning, and a factory stereo. This 280ZX is offered with factory literature, a tool kit, partial service records, an accident-free Carfax report, and a clear blue Texas title. The car is finished in two-tone metallic gold and brown and features a T-bar roof with removable panels, rear window louvers, a vented hood with a NACA duct, and a rear wiper. The power antenna is inoperable, and photos in the gallery below document an area of damaged paint on the right front fender and hood. Factory 14″ alloy wheels are mounted with 205/70/14 Michelin Roadhandler tires. The car is equipped with four-wheel disc brakes. There are areas of failing finish on the wheels as they are original. The seating surfaces are upholstered in original tan cloth with matching door panels and carpets contrasted by a brown dashboard and center console. Amenities include air conditioning, a factory cassette stereo, cruise control, and power windows. As you can see in the photos the interior is in excellent condition with no cracks on the dash which is rare for this model. The two-spoke original steering wheel frames an 85-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer. The six-digit mechanical odometer indicates 27,340 miles when the car was posted although may change slightly as the car may have to be moved. The 2.8-liter L28E inline-four features Bosch fuel injection and was factory rated at 145 horsepower when new. The muffler was replaced under previous ownership, and an oil change was performed in February 2021 using a factory Nissan/Datsun oil filter. The clutch master cylinder was also replaced by previous owner a a Nissan dealership using OEM Nissan parts and fluids. I've put a little over 100 miles on the vehicle since I purchased it and the 280ZX has ran flawlessly with no hesitation in stop and go and highway driving. The cosmetic issues I could have fixed but since this is a survivor in which hood shape I feel the next care taker should decide if it should stay in this survivor state or spend the minimal money to make the car perfect. I have links to YouTube for a cold start a driving video and to show the features in the interior work including the voice system that also is rare for these cars to be in operation.
