1972 Reliant Regal 3/30 classic car, 69900 miles, unusually complete and original for a car of this age, only 80 odd left on the road now so quite rare, I bought it to restore to concourse but I lost use of the workshop so it's now for sale. 

The chassis and running gear are reckoned to be in very good order as money has been spent by a previous owner but the body finish is rough, however with a good going over by someone who knows cars it could be put on the road quite quickly if patina is your thing but be aware that only lap belts are currently fitted. 

The engine starts willingly and runs but needs further setting up, carb, timing etc to run perfectly. The original carb and air cleaner is in the boot so that must need a rebuild or it would be in the engine bay, also in the boot are the original plastic lettered plates which look well worth cleaning up and reinstating. 

Niggly faults that I'm aware of; the gearstick detent spring has either weakened or broken so gear selection is vague (I'm told this is an easy fix from inside the car), the horn doesn't work, the wipers are intermittent and the offside handbrake stays on sometimes due to a sticky lever mechanism under the car near the wheel. 

V5 present and in my name and it's MOT & tax exempt due to being a historic vehicle. 

The car is advertised elsewhere (£2500 ono) so I reserve the right to end the auction at any time.
