Lotus Elan Plus 2
This car is in fabulous condition and in my opinion finished in one of the very best colours. The car is reluctantly being sold due to not having the space anymore to store it and I know I will probably regret this, but I have too many other cars, bikes etc. and I use this one the least. So it time for it to go to a good home and to a new owner who will really appreciate it, and have the time to actually drive this lovely machine and not just lovingly polish it, like me.
With only 3 previous owners its one of the very very early cars, chassis No. 42 (500042). The previous owner believed there to be only 2 earlier cars than this in use today. I haven't verified this or that the car had been taken off the road and stored by the 2 nd owner for a considerable number of years prior to the 3 rd owner fully restoring the car, which I purchased nearly 4 years ago.
The car sits on a new powder coated chassis and wheels with all of the mechanical parts fully refurbed or replaced including the engine, which sounds fabulous. It has had a full body off respray, been fully retrimmed including new interior and new carpets throughout. Although this work was carried out some 4 years ago the car literally has always been stored in a heated garage and covered less than 900 dry miles since. It really is a beautiful car to behold and ready to take to any show and not look out of place.
These cars are only going to increase in value particularly in this condition and as I said earlier I am probably going to regret selling this lovely Lotus.
This vehicle is classed as historic and is both tax and MOT exempt.
