About this vehicleThis 1968 Volkswagen Beetle (Pre-1980) is a project vehicle with updates to the exterior, interior and drivetrain. The owner has had it for 1 year. The vehicle runs great and is mainly used for weekend drives.Seller's NotesCurrent the Bug is a weekend vehicle that gets a lot of looks, but it is in good enough shape to be a dependable daily driver. Payment accepted upon delivery. I can meet in the NC Triad area.Vehicle Details

Exterior: New bumpers, moldings and logos. Prior owner put on new mirrors, fender beading, pop out window and tires in January 2021.

Interior: New seat belts. Prior owner installed new front seats from Jegs. Rear seat is missing. Prior owner removed both door window mechanisms. They were cleaned, greased and reinstalled with new outer dew strips. New carpet.

Engine/transmission/suspension: The engine is from a 74 Beetle (standard). Prior owner removed engine and installed new push rod tubes, new oil cooler seals, new rear main seal, new gland nut, new j-tube exhaust and muffler. Current owner had the 34 pict 3 carburetor rebuilt so the engine does not stall. Prior owner removed all 4 brakes, cleaned and worn parts replaced, installed new pads, new rear drums and spring kit, Z bar bushing kit, sway bushings. Prior owner flushed cleaned and refilled the transaxle and replaced leaking axle boot.

Needs: Horn, signals not working, needs heat exchangers.
