Vehicle Details

I bought this FJ 40 in the early 2000's from a guy in northern Idaho and immediately brought it back to Colorado. From there I did most of the modifications and upgrades. Body is not in the best of shape but everything is fairly easily replaced as there are multiple vendors. This thing is a tank. I had to help most of my friends when we would go into the hills but with me I would just put it in 4 and if I really needed to I would lock em using my onboard air for the ARB's. I have 2 huge folders full of receipts that I have kept from all the big and little things that I have bought over the years. I upgraded the following components with New: Equal length exhaust headers, Weber 32:36 carburetor, Electronic distributor with vacuum advance, power steering, power brakes, front disk brake conversion, enhanced Birfield style spline axles, leather OEM seats recovered, leather jump seats (uncommon – hard to find), leather headrests (uncommon), rear heater, stainless brake lines, 4:88 gears (front and rear), ARB air lockers (front and rear), Skyjacker lift kit, 35” tires with spare, Warn 8274 winch, winch bumper, center console, CD player with amp and subwoofer, rear sound bar and so much more. It has the cool removable hardtop with ambulance doors and optional bikini top for the warm summer nights. I kept all of the old parts such as the old wheels with moon covers, original SMOG equipment, air pump, OEM carburetor, etc. This FJ 40 is awesome and I just don't want to sell it but unfortunately its time. My loss is your gain. Images
