This is a 1973 GMC C2500 – ¾ ton Camper Special (pre Sierra times), long bed (8 feet) with 454 cu in engine and turbo-hydramatic 400 transmission (not 4 X 4).  Below is a list of information about this truck that I am aware of mostly first hand (engine replacement information is from previous owner).

·        166K miles (odometer has turned over), but about 80K on the current engine and transmission (GM crate items replaced at some point by previous owner and confirmed as not numbers matching, but consistent with original factory configuration).

·        Has dual fuel tanks with electric switch (~44 gals total)

·        Dual electric fuel pumps (switchable at the dash) and fuel pressure gauge mounted in the engine bay.

Retrofitted with trailer brake controls and hitch (don't know if it works as have never towed anything).Carb and intake are Edelbrock 4 barrel items (before I got the truck).  Carb has been rebuilt and tweaked for altitude.Distributor has been upgraded to HEI.Engine seems to run well, doesn't burn oil or leak (a bit at the rear seal when it sits, but not much).Rear end is 14 bolt, 10-1/2" ring gear 4.10 ratio on 16 inch wheelsBrakes have been redone with rebuilt calipers in the front and turned drums in rear. All the lights, signals, horn, etc. work. All glass is good.  Rear window is a slider.Choke is manual at the dash (I converted it as electric choke opened too fast for this heavy engine).  Could obviously be converted back.Radio is aftermarket AM/FM and seems to work well.Truck came complete with fender, door, and bed trim/molding (original GM). I have all the pieces (see photos), but did not remount them as I did not like the look.  All of this is can be remounted, but would need some attention (minor dents and black stripe repaint).I have original factory shop service manual, owners manual, GM electrical schematics and a spare elec. fuel pump to go with the truck.I have a clear Colorado title in my name.

The truck went through extensive panel rust repair including hood, fender and floor replacements along with one rocker, both door skins and cab corners.  It is rust free now and mechanically sound, but the repaint is not that great (about a 10 footer).  There is some cracking in the skim coat in the doors due to flexing of the trailer mirrors. The wheels have some surface rust and tires need replacing, but hold air.  Interior is pretty good overall, but the bench seat needs reupholstering (has a saddle cover on it now).  Dash has a cap on it. The shell is old, but serviceable (no broken windows and added some struts and lock for the rear lift door).

This is a classic truck in the first year of that style and could be used for heavy duty work or as a classic fun truck for occasional driving with some more exterior work and finishing.

Please only bid if you are serious about following through.  If you have a feedback of fewer than 10 purchases, contact me ahead of time or I may disqualify your bid.  My reserve is not set that high, but I won't disclose it ahead of time either.  Buyer must make arrangements to pick up/ship.  I cannot ship.  I can hold the truck for a short time if needed after payment has cleared.  Cash or wire transfer through my bank will be accepted.
