Current customer rating:
Buy the van. get the caprice fuel injected 350 donor for free.
I will be adding more pics of the interior in the next day or so.
The tubine wheels/tires have been sold. The van comes with a set of steel wheels and roller tires.
I first saw this van 7 years ago and it took me a couple years to get it.
I have other priorities right now and have decided to let this project go into someone elses hands and I can dedicate my time to opening up my shop.
I don't need to go into how uncommon a custom of this nature is. and original 70 s Custom Painted by Zaird in 1975.
I bought it from the orginal owner after years of trying to get him to sell it.
It was and still is in rough shape but the body is rust free inside out and the original paint is mostly still intact and looks awesome. It was rearended at some time - you can see a little bumper damage but the doors still open and close fine. The interior is now gutted (except for the awesome vinyl roof that miraculously did not dry out and fall apart. and it is ready for a new custom interior. I stripped down the motor getting ready for removal. removed the front bumper.
See pics.
just plan on redoing just about everything inside - but thankfully its a old van so the parts are out there and are not ridiculas in price.
Also included is the pictured 1988 chevy Caprice (1 g 1 bn 51 z 4 jr 170954) with a transplanted very stout 350 and overdrive trans. It is 100% running shifting drivetrain in a actually pretty clean and drivable caprice. This car was originally going to be used for a thing called the C 2 C express. a underground cannonball run for older cars. but the owner located a 70 s Monaco to use instead and the caprice came into my hands as the perfect donor drivetrain for the GMC van. a set of tires on the caprice and it could be a daily driver - could be now but I wouldn't do much over 55 with the old desert tires on it.
Both the GMC and the Caprice are now in storage unit costing me $150 a month and I will not be able to touch this project until at least May so I don't really want to pay 1000+ over the next 8 months while trying to open my shop.
So I have to just let someone else take care of this awesome one.
Feel free to call me with any questions.
$6500??? make me an offer! I prefer this to be a old fashion cash deal. show up and check them out. pay for them and take them - but if you want to ship them. I will only accept bank wire transfer.
No checks or money orders or cashiers checks.
