SUPER CLEAN ORIGINAL 4X4 CUSTOM

This 1966 GMC 4WD 1500 big back window Custom truck was purchased from the second owner in northern California where it has spent its entire life. The body is solid and the California patina is awesome. This truck is a good runner driver and it gets attention while on the road.  This is a clean California survivor truck with no hidden surprises.

THE BODY-  The factory floor pans are solid with surface rust only and they have not been tampered with. Both of the kick panels intact and they are not rotted out. The original fire wall is in great condition and has not been cut up or beat on. The original paint on the fire wall is in good condition also there are no rusty spots on the driver's side or passenger side in the upper corners of the fire wall and the original factory chalk marks are still intact. The rear bed panels are original to the truck and overall they are in good original condition along with the stake pockets.  The original doors are in good condition with light surface rust on the bottoms thy are not rotted out. The front drivers fender has a rusty spots down low and the rest of the fender is dry and clean the passenger fender is not rusty and is dry and clean. The passenger side inner fender wells also shows no signs of rust same with the driver's side the both look good. The original battery tray is intact and it is not rotted out.  The radiator support is also original and shows no signs of rust and will not need to be replaced.  The outer rockers are solid and shows no signs of body fillers or rust same with the cab corners. The inner rockers and body braces are also solid they look good. The windshield pillars and upper windshield area both outside and inside are rust free and are in good condition. Behind the inner windshield rubber across the top is also dry and still shows its original paint at the pinch weld this area is not rusted out. The top of the metal dash down by the windshields rubber is in good condition and still has the original paint and is not rusty or water stained. The hood is straight and is not bowed it fits well. The original hood hinges are in good condition and are not sprung. The rain gutters are all solid along with the roof. Overall the body on this truck is in good original condition for being a 1966 4X4 and while looking down the sides it is strait with only a few small dings and dents hear and there.  The bottom side of this truck is not rotted out or full of under coating it is apparent when looking underneath this truck. This truck has all its original GM panels and is not a bondoed up mess. This truck has never been repainted and the original white paint is mostly gone and you can see the original primer through.

THE INTERIOR- The inside of this truck is clean and presentable along with the original seat that was recovered. The original gauges are intact and in good working order. The original steering wheel is in good condition for being original and the horn works. The rubber mat is also in good condition.

THE MOTOR- This motor is a stock original V6 with all the stock accessories from the factory. this is a good running motor that has good power and it is not a leaker or smoker.

THE TRANS/TRANSFER CASE - The trans shifts good and is in good working order and is not a leaker. The original transfer case does not leak and the 4x4 is in good working order. The rear end is a nice tight rear end that does not clunk or howl.  The hubs lock and unlock nicely also when you drop this truck in to gear there is no universal joint clunks or noises.

THE ELECTRICAL/AC- Most all the electrical in this truck is original and is in good working order along with the original T3 headlights.

THE OVER ALL- This truck is a driver that was well taken care of and was not beat on or abused. This truck is ready to enjoy and is a blast to drive. This truck also has the original black California license plate and the original sticker where it was purchased from FB Heart of Sacramento CA. The front end is nice and tight and this truck steers straight for being a 1966 4x4. The original rims and hubcaps are in good condition and they look good. The mud style tires are in newer good condition. This truck is equipped with the original stock springs. The glass is not cracked or pitted and is in good original condition. The front and rear bumpers are original and are straight and clean for being original. All the outer chrome and bright work is original to the truck and it is in good original condition. The power brake are in good working order. The exhaust is older and you will want to replace it.  The bottom side of this truck is not under coated from the factory and it is clear to see that it is not a rotted out mess. This is a affordable classic truck that is a hard one to find in this condition and this is a nice clean truck to own.
