1965 Ford N600 Farm Truck74,000 Original Miles1 Owner Truck!16' Foot Oak Dump BedUp for sale is my FARM FRESH & FARM READY1965 Ford N600 COE Custom Cab farm/ dump truck. This is a ONE (1) Owner truck, and has been in continuous & maintained use since 1965! Totally original truck.  Has the 330 HD industrial  V-8 engine, and manual transmission. The red paint on the cab, is the ORIGINAL PAINT from the Ford factory in 1965! Only the foot steps, side panels, and bottoms of front fenders and doors have been refinished ( Due to numerous chips in the paint in those areas). Bottoms of front fender and doors have been coated with Chip Guard  (factory type texture coating), and refinished in the correct Ford "J" color code "Rangoon Red", using 2k urethane paint ( costs $400 a gallon!) The metal bed sides, and wheels were refinished using 2k urethane chassis paint... that will last for decades. Also professionally refinished are the grille and front bumper. Both refinished in the correct silver urethane 2k paint. The original factory paint on the cab, although in exceptional shape for it's age, does have a few of the expected chips, scratches etc, for a truck from 1965. ***As a side note.... I purposely left the wood stake bed original, and didn't paint it... because it is a GIANT Manufacturing bed... with hand painted GIANT logo's and designs on the slats. I wanted to leave that original, rather than repaint it.*** Celebrity endorsement:I previously owned a 1963 Ford N600 truck, which I sold here on eBay... which was almost purchased by world renowned comedian and car collector Jay Leno! He apparently got distracted by another vehicle, and lost out on an awesome truck! Jay, if you are listening, please don't miss out on this one!!!The oak bed on the truck is in EXCEPTIONAL condition. There are next to zero flaws in the wood, with no rotting or missing sections of wood of any kind! This oak bed could be sanded to remove the weathered top layer ( which is only a few thousands of an inch thick), and coated with linseed oil... and it would look absolutely brand new. Interior:The interior of the truck is in near mint condition,... as can be seen in the photos. The dash, instrumentation, and original radio are near pristine. The only exception is a large tear in the drivers side vinyl seat bottom, which is covered by a blanket in the photos. I have ordered a brand new Saddleman vintage NOS seat cover for the seat  (made in late 1970's), which will be installed when it arrives. Outside of that large tear in bottom seat on drivers side... the rest of the original bench seat material is totally intact and without a single rip or tear! Mechanical:The truck starts, runs, and drives very well. This is the Custom Cab model... and it has POWER STEERING... making it very easy and effortless to steer this massive truck. The engine is entirely stock... and was actually rebuilt by the Ford factory at some point in the distant past. The truck has the original factory Holley carburetor , which seems to run a bit rich at idle . Probably needs cleaned or rebuilt... or maybe even opt for a more modern design carb... that's up to the new owner.  I wanted to leave the truck entirely stock, and let any modifications be made by the buyer. All the gauges on the dash work... such as fuel gauge, Alt gauge , temperature, oil pressure, speedometer, and tachometer. The emergency brake cable has snapped at some point in the past, and needs to be replaced. Shouldn't be too hard to install a new one. Also... the cable that operates the hydraulic  valve to lift the dump bed is also in need of replacement. Right now, to lift the bed, you engage the PTO from inside the cab, then pull a metal lever located under the truck, that opens the hydraulic valve to lift the bed. Not an issue if you don't raise and lower the bed frequently. But if you do... then you would want to replace that cable, so you can raise and lower the bed from inside the cab of the truck.  The brakes on the truck are solid, and stop the truck with ease. Fun Factor:This truck is very, very fun to drive... and gets tons of attention in public. Please don't buy this truck if you are shy of people coming up and asking you about the truck! It's that much of a head turner. Many people have commented that truck looks like a TONKA TRUCKthat has miraculously sprung to life! There are many, many new parts recently installed on the truck... which include the following:1. BRAND NEW aluminum radiator2. NEW starter3. NEW custom made battery cables ( the best money can buy)4. NEW period correct Autolite spark plug #1245. NEW Autolite spark plug wires6. I don't think there was anything else like it in 1965. You absolutely never see one of these truck driving around today, at least I never have... and I've seen alot of vintage trucks in my day.  This truck would make the perfect compliment to any gentleman farmer's equipment collection. It is fully drivable and usable as it sits now for farm work.. or just cruising around your farm. Asking only $23,900... can you even buy a tin foil construction Hyundai for that amount today?? If you have any questions at all... please message me using the eBay message system... and I will get right back to you with the answer! I have provided a huge wealth of information in this ad... but there are always more that people want to ask about... so please don't be shy to ask.  Thanks... and happy bidding! Please see the numerous additional photos below:
