MOSS MALVERN

This is a Moss Malvern kit car based on a 1971 Triumph Herald 13/60 but with similar styling to a Morgan as car reporters implied when new.

It is a classic car being tax and m.o.t exempt and registered correctly on the V5 as a Moss.

It has been in storage for a number of years and only within the last few months has she been back on the road.

Things completed during recommission:

1 x new fuel pump

4 x plugs

1 x points

Rear Brake Shoes/linings

Full set of new tyres including spare

The brakes were freed off but then we found the rear brakes were still locking occasionally. On investigation it was found that the brake linings on the shoes on the rear o/s had come adrift thereby requiring new brake shoes/linings. This was done to allow it to be made safe to drive.

It has been out for a run today (Saturday 28/08 when all photos were taken except the ones with the soft top on) to confirm all is working with no leaks or overheating etc.

Things to note:

Paintwork requires finishing compounding as can be seen in some of the photos however due to health issues this has not been completed.

No rust issues as Fibre Glass body with some slight issues of starring, but this could be rectified with a respray however I was going to leave as is after finishing the compounding and then waxing as she does come up nice and the starring etc gives character or as they say patina.

It starts first time every time and now stops correctly however please remember these are classic cars and as such drive like any cars of the era. Also take note when you take her out you will have people ogling you and you will need to add time onto your journey, for the people who had one in the past, knew someone who drove one, always wanted to own one etc etc etc.

Could be driven away subject to distance but would suggest you consider a transporter. But this is your choice.

This is only my opinion of the car and as no two people have the same opinion on things I would suggest prior to bidding that you view the car first to prevent any issues going forward. I can be available most days if required.

If under 5 positive feedback please email before bidding or your bid will be removed.

Cash or bank transfer prior to collection as car will not leave my premises until paid in full.

Contact to be made within 24hrs of auction end by winning bidder

Collection within 5 days unless previously arranged
