For Sale, VW early bay window, 1970

Deluxe model so has the correct deluxe trim, seat surround padding, chrome sliding door hinge link and belt line.

Mostly Original Delta Green paint

I brought this from the guy that imported it, so I am the first UK registered owner.

Obviously all taxes paid, UK Registered with age-related plates, Road Tax exempt and MOT exempt, however I have MOT'd it every year for peace of mind, check each brake is working, gaters/bushes etc etc

Very solid bus, chassis rails, outriggers, cab and cargo floor.

Body work carried out, when the bus was first imported were, couple of small bits on sills, under windscreen edge, patch in cab floor and the standard battery tray.

Nothing else is required

All rubbers re-placed with correct chrome trim rubbers and genuine VW opening rear ¼ windows, all work and seal!!

Couple of years ago I brought new best quality front/rear bumpers and over-riders and had them all painted, to give contrast to the ‘used' look of the body

It's not a patina-monster or a rust bucket!! Just a very solid, perfect little bus, it has age related marks (it's a 50 years old bus that has changed hands and countries a couple of times!!)

I've not gone over it with a DA to rub some ‘patina' into it

Just a good wash and polish every now and then!!

Interior is brilliant, full width westfalia RnR bed, bench seat/storage, cab seats have been powder-coated black and up-holstered with subtle Bentley stitching (probably doesn't show in the photos!)

Door cards & long panel are black vinyl also up-holstered with full Bentley stitching

Headlining was done couple of years back in TMI grey rather than off-white – obviously still looks new!!

Leisure battery system in place so either shore power or inverter used to power the 240v sockets

Bus is lowered 2 splines at the back with Transporterhaus adjustable spring plates, front is dropped with Transporthaus flipped spindles, so looks tucked in but it's the stock beam

Bus has been dry stored since I've owned it and doesn't come out in the rain, except when caught out at a show!!! Bl00dy British summer!!

Front tyres are brand new, rears have loads of tread of them!! only down side is the slot mag alloys are starting to look their age!

Engine has had new 1641cc barrels & pistons and put on the rolling road to check running ok, temperature, carb etc etc
