1960 Nash

A fresh, 1960 Nash / AMC Metropolitan Coupe.

A local estate purchase, the car had been sitting for about 10 years prior. I purchased her with my two youngest boys and we have lovingly brought several of these back to the roads and shows in the last couple of years. We have had great praise in them being easily worked on, and parts readily available, even overseas. A great little collector car that draws plenty of attention everywhere you go and doesn't break the bank.

As I stated, this one came to us locally, and has always had a place inside. It was meticulusly maintained by the prior owner and we took it a step further by going through all the systems to bring it up to par and road worthy condition. The brakes were gone through front to back including front wheel cylinders, new battery, fuel system drained, flushed and rebuilt the carb. Fresh oil change, all wiring checked, clutch slave cylinder rebuilt, points, and plugs. The rear end seal has since been replaced so no large drips or spots if she sits in the garage The clutch itself is in great shape and replaced recently mile wise, but can't say the exact date. The car could use a fresh set of tires but are usable and drivable as is.

Interior is original, very decent shape for it's age with only the carpet being replaced.

There are NO holes in the floor, trunk, fenders, etc. that I have been patched or that I can find.

The body is in very good original condition. Spare tire, jack and lug wrench are still in the trunk

I apologize if the bottom doesn't look doctored up, as some dealers do, but i want it to show as original and rust (holes) free as it actually is. The body itself is virgin and original. No rust holes, patches or anything being worked over. It has had one repaint in the past, that is not perfect, but certianly driver quality or better. Original owners / shop manual included that will walk even a layman through almost any repair on the car. Many, many, more pics available on request for this one.
