1972 MGB GT With Overdrive for sale
Current customer rating:
MGB GT 1972 in Flame Red with Overdrive The car has only been out once this year (mainly due to rubbish Yorkshire weather & moving house as well) so it's spent most the time sat in classic car storage but still go over to start the car and give it a run around to keep everything moving and free.
Only selling due to not getting used enough. Lots of spare parts & paperwork, it's also recently had the below work done over the last 2 years - Stainless steel tourist trophy exhaust (£400) Electronic Hardi fuel pump. (£100) parabolic leaf springs (£200) 123 electronic ignition (£300) High output alternator Bluetooth radiomobile radio (£140) Bosch coil New ignition switch inclu keys.
Mota Lita steering wheel (original included) Reconditioned tailgate stays Gas bonnet struts.
All fluids changed last year (diff, gearbox, engine, brake & clutch) Refurbished Brake and clutch master cylinder Undersealed annually if required. Also included in the sales - Points distributor (original) Various original spare parts - chrome trims for side of vehicle Tailored fit car cover (£400 new) Waterproof car cover Various rubber seals Various screws / trims acquired over time.
Heritage certificate. Its also fitted with Koni shocks all round as well prior to my ownership. I have also had the front Armstrong Lever shock suspension reconditioned. The car handles wonderful around corners. Also has a brake servo fitted which is factory I believe. It used to be owned by the director of the clothes company Tog 24 as it was his parents car and he had it restored in 1997 at a cost of £10,000 which is included in all the paperwork, so it's got some interesting history as well. Key points - 1997 £10,000 restoration and dry stored since so overall solid car with no rot.
Webasto sunroof (previous owner spent £3500 on conversion) New sills & castle rails.
Previous owner had the O/S/R quarter and lower O/S front wing replaced. (2018) New tailgate & lock (2018) Needs a bit of cosmetic bodywork as seen in some of the pictures.
Engine is solid and has unleaded head conversion but not been rebuilt to my knowledge.
TAX & MOT exempt.
12 v battery conversation (from two 6 v batteries) New pre engaged starter motor recently.
Lots of paperwork including history.
It's been serviced and inspected by a classic car garage annually. It's had so much work and history the is too much to list here so please get in touch for further info. Viewings welcome. Price reduced from £9500
