According to the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate this car was built in January 1972 and went to a dealer in Chesterfield. The registration number DRY927K was issued in Leicester in June/ July 1972.So it will be turning 50 years old next year so it's a big birthday for whoever is the new owner. This is a 1972 Manual Triumph Stag with overdrive. It has the original 3 litre V8 engine and has done approximately 76,000 miles (from what I can work out using the mot certs as had had 3 speedometers)I've owned this beautiful car for nearly a year now and have loved it but sadly my circumstances have changed and I am unable to keep it.The guy I purchased it from had owned it since the summer of 2018 and the following information is from his eBay description as it gives a good idea of what had been done when I bought it. There are 3 large invoices in the large file I got with the car dating from 1st August 2018 to August 2020 and the total for those 3 were £5960.21 so a fair bit had been spent on this car prior to my ownership.  Since I've had the car I have spent approximately £2000 on the car which includes a new dashboard, all dials changed to Mk1 style, all the wiring loom repaired/replaced where necessary,  coil wiring sorted and a full vehicle inspection and service done. This was undertaken by JS Classic Autos in Birmingham who were incredibly helpful. The following is from the previous owner "We have spent alot over the last 2 years (2018-2020) to improve its condition and keep on top of thing in general.  The front seats have been re-cushioned, it's had a new soft top roof fitted in 2019, exchange steering rack and new steering coupling along with 4 new tyres. It has been converted to take an oil filter canister with a new oil pressure relief valve and switch.  Various new coolant hoses,  alternator and power steering belts, new power electronic ignition kit with Magnecor HT leads and new coil.  New cars breather hoses and pipes. KN air filter plugs and oils. New fuel tank and some fuel pipes replaced. New card needle valves. New brake master cylinder and all new proper Cupar nickel steel brake pipes and fittings. New steel braided flexi brake lines fitted. New rear brake drums. The sump had been removed and powder coated along with the steering rack cross member and other front suspension components.  All front suspension bushes have been replaced. Both front lower ball joints have been replaced.  New washer bottle and pump.  Both front too strut mountings replaced.  New front wheel bearings.  Both front outer anti roll bar drop links replaced.  All front suspension bushes replaced"I've mentioned above the bits that I have done in my year of ownership. This is by no means a concourse car but a good solid stag that looks good and can be improved on or just enjoyed as it is. The mot expires on 14th September 2021 and although this does not legally require one I am more than happy to put it through. The mot history is pretty decent I think. Please call me on 07415 102515 if you have any questions or would like to come and view the car
