DESCRIPTION
It in effort to produce a strong 6-cylinder sports car from the BMC organization. a new car was developed from the very popular MGB platform in 1967. and introduced to consumers for only 2 years. 1968-1969! It featured a Austin Healey designed 7-main bearing engine. modified hood to accommodate the radiator and carburetors. better brakes. special suspension. and 15 wheels! Only 4. 58 MGC GT Coupes were made. and lucky owners of the 4-speed examples should be very proud of their examples!
We are very excited to offer this stunning 1969 MGC GT Coupe that was wonderfully restored and finished in Pale Primrose over a Black Leather interior accented nicely with white piping! Still powered by its original 2912 cc inline 6 cylinder engine mated to the full synchromesh 4-speed manual transmission with electronic overdrive. its produces a factory rated 145 horsepower and 170 ft. lbs. of torque! Options on this example include upgraded Paton brake boosters. retractable sunroof with tinted wind visor. 8-spoke aluminum Minilite knock-off style wheels fitted with 185/65 R 15 wheels wrapped in Continental Conti Pro Contact tires. three eared KO spinners. dual exterior mirrors. AM/FM solid state radio. original wood steering wheel and upgraded shift knob. polished stainless steel door sills. rear splash guards. and more!
This car will come with original set of painted wire spoke wheels. matching spare. photos of the restoration. some receipts. and the original owners manual! It began life in California and the original windshield still bears the original 1972 California Inspection sticker! The odometer indicates only 84. 00 miles which we believe to actual from new. but do not have enough documentation to support an original mileage claim.
This wonderfully solid MGC is no disappointment on the road! It starts with ease. shifts brilliantly. accelerates smooth and powerful. and brakes perfectly confident! It is road ready. show ready. and a terrific investment for the astute English car collector! Act quickly. 4-speed examples are become harder and harder to find!! Feel free to call with questions or to schedule a viewing appointment!
