This is a real Road Runner that has been rotisserie restored to show condition in, out, top and bottom. It has a high performance motor that will pull the wrinkles out of your face. I personally drove it. The car handled, stopped, functioned great.

EXTERIOR: It was taken down to a bare shell and put on a rotisserie. It is laser beam straight. I don't see any signs of damage or rust. The gaps are square. It has the lightweight hood with fresh air scoop. According to the tag it's a real Sun Fire yellow (I mistakenly called it Lemon Twist in our video). The paint is like glass. The vinyl top looks new. Bumpers, tail lights, door handles, remote mirror, turn signals on the fenders all have brilliant chrome. The stainless trim all around the windows look new. The grill is like new. The chrome 15 inch Cragar S/S wheels sparkle like new. They have Mickey Thompson tires, bigger street/strip radials in back. The door jambs are just as slick as the car. Weatherstrips were replaced. New windshield.

INTERIOR: Inside the car is pristine looking. We have a picture of it completely gutted and it was painted gloss yellow where you can't even see. The cushions and upholstery have been replaced. New headrests. Down on the floor is new carpet and embroidered mats. It has reproduction seat belts front and back, some still have plastic on them. The dash pad is new, to the whole instrument panel is excellent. The knobs, original radio, heater controls and lense are excellent. No cracks or cuts, it all fits right too. It does have an aftermarket tach on the pillar and three matching gauges down below. New glove box liner, the horn pad is new. Headliner, mirror and visors are new, dome light works. The door panels, armrests, handles and window cranks are new.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Bored and stroked 543 motor is making 500 hp at the rear wheel which is well over 600 at the motor. It has Indy aluminum heads and intake. Also has a big dual feed Holley Dominator carb with premium fittings, fuel lines and a fuel regulator. It also has an MSD ignition system with a Pro Billet distributor. It has a set of coated headers, aluminumpulleysandchromevalvecovers. It runs cool thanks to the aluminum water pump, aluminum radiator, a clutch fan with a shroud. The radiator and heater hoses are stainless. Features include power steering and a new power brake system. All the components are proper. New wiper motor, squirters are hooked up. The battery is bolted down and has disconnect switch. Most importantly the "beep beep" horn works! The engine bay is real clean metal painted gloss yellow, the VIN number on the core support matches the car. It looks like the fender tag is original.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It is all smooth clean metal painted gloss yellow. There are no splices in the quarter panels, if they were replaced it was with full panels at factory seams. It has a new mat and weatherstrip. The spare rim is painted black and it has a BFG tire that has never been used. The trunk light works.

UNDERSIDE: It was flipped on a rotisserie so the bottom could be restored as good as the top. All the metal looks immaculate. They welded in frame rails front to back, it looks like factory did it. The whole bottom of the car is painted gloss yellow. The front end was completely rebuilt- all new shocks, bushing, steering components and it has a heavy duty sway bar. The rear suspension was replaced- leaf springs, bushings and it now has air shocks. New fuel system including the tank, straps, sending unit and electric fuel pump. A fat dual exhaust system with Dynomax mufflers and x-pipe sounds great. If you really want to shake the ground it has electric stainless steel dumps. The brakes are all done, it has disc in front. The e-brake cables are hooked up. Bottom of the motor has an extra capacity of oil pan. Rebuilt 727 Torqueflite automatic trans. The driveshaft was rebuilt. It has an 8 3/4 3.91 sure grip rear.

This car is exceptional. The cosmetic restoration looks amazing. The mechanical rebuild was done right. It will cruise all day long, it will shred the tires if you want it to.

I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail.

About Volo Auto Museum

No other collector car dealer has been in business longer than the Volo Auto Museum.  Owned and operated by the Grams family since 1960.  We are the only collector car dealer that has 4 generations of experience with buying, selling and consigning classic autos.  For our family, classic cars are more than a business, it is a passion.  Over the decades, we have maintained a reputation for dealing with integrity as proven with our high reviews and A+ rating with the BBB.

Buying a classic car can be exciting, but also stressful.  We want to take the stress out of your buying experience by allowing you the time and tools you need to get to know the car you are interested in before making your investment, not after.  Unlike auctions, we allow test drives, 3rd party inspections, the use of our shop and car lift.  No reasonable request will be turned down.

Selling a car can be equally stressful, but it doesn't have to be.  After reviewing your quality collector car, we will discuss the options we have available to you and let you decide what works best for you.  We have cash available for immediate sales and we also offer a consignment program that surpasses anyone else's.   Unlike percentage based programs with fees; we work with a no fee, net to owner.  This allows us the opportunity to treat and market your car as if it were our own.  We invest approximately $1500 of our own money into marketing your car, which means if it doesn't sell, we lose, not you.  So, we are more aggressive in selling your car!
