Ford Big Oly Replica Bronco Trophy Truck Parnelly Jones Rare Desert Racing Truck

This bronco started its life as a 69 4 x 4. I have owned it for 8 plus years. I used it as a chase truck for our motorcycle team in Baja. In 2011 a race sanction called Norra was started. It's purpose is for vintage vehicles to compete in a lower key version of the Baja 1000. Being a vintage Baja enthusiast I decided to build a replica of the most iconic Baja truck of all time. It took a year to complete and near 100 k with what I payed for the truck and when I took it to the race almost everybody thought it was the real thing. Parnelli Jones himself said to me holy #$% somebody stole my truck! He then signed the truck in two places. The real Big Oly had a tube chassis and was 2 wheel drive that being said I focused on all of the astetic details. I started with the body work. The front clip and hood are fiber glass the doors back are sheet metal blended with fiber glass. The bodywork was done professionally and has passed the test of 3 races. I made an exact replica of the roof wing. rear sections and grill. I had the stickers made and matched every single one. The roll cage is an exact replica it even has the oil coolers mounted to spec and the Coleman coolers with straws behind the seats. Mechanically I built the truck win. It has a 351 Windsor 400 plus horse power. It has a C and J race built holly carb with a evacuation pump. this truck will run upside down the carb alone cost $1650. The steering system. tie rods ect are all made by bullet proof. It has a aluminum radiator with electric fans. The transmission is a race built C 6. It has a Dana 44 front axel and 9 inch in the back. both have race axles. The suspension is completely custom to provide the most travel while keeping the truck somewhat stable. In the front it has 4 king 2. 5 race shocks and king bump stops. The back axle has Deaver race springs with King 2. 5 shocks and bump stops. It has the top of the line Master Craft suspension seats. It has a fresh air system (Parker pumper). The truck is set up with a intercom system and a Lawrence gps. It comes with a race motor and a spare. It currently has the spare in it. The race motor just got rebuilt. The truck is as raced condition. it has rock chips and the rear fender flares are cracked at the bottom. I would be happy to race prep it and fix the body depending how much it sells for. The Norra 1000 is coming up at the end of april and I would be happy to help support and make the race happen for a buyer if that was something that interest any one.
