DESCRIPTION
Produced for 8 years (1969-1976). the Triumph TR 6 delivered a savvy performance platform.
Fitted with independent suspension. front disc brakes. fully synchromesh 4-speed transmissions. bucket seats. 15” wheels. and a 6-cylinder power plant offering 104 horsepower! They enjoyed a very healthy model run as far as auto manufacturing goes with the 8 year production.
These beautiful cars were incredibly desirable. always fun to drive. and rather simple in design.
And they offered an interior cabin slightly more suited for taller drivers!
This 1973 Triumph TR 6 roadster is finished in Pimento Red with Black leather upholstery. black carpets and new matching convertible top.
Factory appointed equipment include correct CF-coded 2. 5 L Straight 6 cylinder engine with dual Stromberg 175 CD-2 carburetors. fully synchromesh 4-speed manual transmission with optional J-type overdrive. upgraded chrome 15” 72-spoke wire wheels with Michelin radial tires. full Smiths gauge instrumentation. upgraded power windows. wood veneer dash. passenger vanity mirror. heater & defrost. dual exterior mirrors. leather wrapped steering wheel & shift knob. seatbelts. power front disc brakes. headlight rock guards. and day/night mirror.
This partially restored example comes complete with original steel spare tire. jack. knock-off mallet. full tonneau cover. convertible top boot. and full tonneau cover. and upgraded CD audio system.
Newer items on this car include new clutch. stainless steel dual exhaust system with headers. rebuilt front end with polyurethane bushings throughout. front & rear shocks. new ignition system. distributor. battery. stainless steel battery box. spin-off oil filter adapter. new fuel pump. wiper motor. rebuilt speedometer & tachometer. rebuilt carbs with new choke cable. new interior walnut wood dash & sun visors. windshield seal. along with new convertible top & weather stripping just to name a few.
It is very well detailed and drives out wonderfully! You will find plenty of chrome under the hood! This included the air cleaner. intake. valve cover. alternator. hood latch assembly. radiator supports bars & brackets. prop rod. and more! Braided stainless steel hoses and lines compliment it very nicely! Please note that this special car possesses its original sheet metal and shows no indications of any past rust repairs! The interior leather seats have been re-dyed and do show some mild patina typical of a car that has been driven and enjoyed since completion.
These cars represent a dying breed of collectible automobiles that can still be purchased at a great entry-level vehicle for a British car enthusiast looking for something they can enjoy and drive regularly.
This particular TR 6 has been in the hands of a family who shared ownership over the past 20+ years.
Priced accordingly. this car will be a great investment to an astute buyer! Please call with additional questions. or to schedule an opportunity to review the car in person.
We look forward to working with you!
