J C Midge Roadster

Here we have for sale is my JC Midge Roadster, it is a re bodied Suzuki SJ 413 Samurai 4 X 4 built from plans and

patterns supplied by John Cowperthwaite from Derbyshire. The main body is made of 18 mm exterior plywood skinned

with 0.5 mm aluminium. The scuttle panel, bonnet and engine sides' 1.2 mm aluminium, it can be polished or painted.

When I started to build this car I suspected I may be too big to fit in it comfortably, guess what I am being 6 ft 3 ins and

17 St. It would suit someone smaller in stature than me.

It is correctly registered with the DVLA as a JC Midge and has a current MOT.

It has many new parts:-

Radiator.

Down draught weber carburettor.

Conventional distributor with electronic ignition and coil, ( making it less reliant on the ecu in keeping with older technology )

Exhaust system.

Fuel pump and tank.

Brake master cylinder.

Timing belt and pulleys.

Wiring to all lights.

Bespoke seats.

Fitted with 5 new tyres.

I didn't get around to making the hood but I have everything to do it, the hood material the window vinyl, side screen frames the aluminium for the hoops and the plans and instructions to complete it.

This car would suit an enthusiast that likes to tinker, with DIY skills, it runs and drives well.
