A late Lotus Elan +2 S 130/5 Lotus big valve engine, Lotus 5-speed gearbox. Requires a repaint (was originally factory Roman Purple) and would benefit from light restoration. This car has been used on a regular basis and has been maintained without full restoration for the majority of its life. Very original car, correct steering wheel, gear knob, fitments etc. Even though the paint work requires a repaint, the shell itself including the boot, bonnet and doors have never been in an accident. Has been fitted with a Spyder Spaceframe chassis. Recent comprehensive service, full set rotoflex couplings and bolt kit, complete break overhaul including new pistons, seal kits, new brake pads, handbrake pads, new master cylinders and fluid change, new clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder, full engine service, rebuilt carbs, coolant change and reconditioned radiator. Because the car has been used on a regular basis the car is an excellent driver. Good oil pressure, good performance from the 1558 engine, matching numbers and non leaking! Excellent value car for the enthusiast who is happy to do a little work. New MOT. Last owner 40 years.
