This stunning car has just had a £15000.00 comprehensive body restoration and bare metal respray. The car is now painted in its original colour lancia Black and looks simply stunning. The previous owner also spent considerable money on this car, well in excess of £30,000.00 in preparation for the many European rallies the car participated in the early noughties including the 2003 Lancia motor club sliding pillar rally, The Liege Rome Liege Rally in 2004 and the 100 year Lancia celebration rally of Turin in 2006, to name just a few. This is an important car in Lancia circles.
This particular car left the Turin factory on the 9 th February 1939 in Black with a red interior.
As the car was used for historical rallies in times gone by It had a roll cage fitted which will come with the sale but it is not fitted. The interior of the car has also not been retrimmed has no carpet or seats. I have left that for the new owners to do as it can be trimmed for everyday road use or be put back for the rally scene.
This car is very eligible for an entry to the Mille Miglia, entry is guaranteed to enhance the value of the car significantly.
The car is mechanically sound in all aspects as this was taken care of by the previous owners when preparing the car for its rally career. I have also had the mechanicals, engine and brakes checked and inspected and all is in order. The narrow V 4 1500 engine sounds great. Any inspection is welcome.
The car has covered approximately 10,000 miles since it was comprehensively restored in the 2000 s
