First registered April 1960 this A Series Daimler SP 250 (Dart) has a recoded mileage of 27,000 which we believe to be correct, but cannot warrant due to the age of the car. The most recent keeper a fastidious classic car enthusiast, with other delights in his stable, has over the past four years bought this car up to really fabulous condition. Specifically, in June 2020 the Dart was treated to a full NOVOL respray in Jaguar Carmen Red by Painting Classic cars of Eastbourne and the finish is superb. Sitting on superb MWS Chrome Wire Wheels with excellent all matching near new Michelin Tyres, this Dart has a purposeful stance and looks eminently capable of the 130-mph claimed when new. Powered by the legendary Edward Turner V 8 (which has been beautifully detailed), with its unique exhaust note, short-shift four-speed gearbox and the usual upgrade to rack and pinion steering plus electric fan and brake servo to modernise the Darts driving behaviour. We have been told the Dart was used, with great reliability, by an earlier owner on several European tours. In the late 1980 s the car was treated to a full body off restoration and an engine re-build at around 13,000 miles.

Along with the car and its comprehensive records are a Hard-Top that is in need of restoration and some valuable, now out of print publications including, a factory Workshop Manual, Owners Handbook and original Parts Catalogue, plus the rare Brian Long book of the Daimler SP 250. In fact, too much to list. The most recent keeper has asked that these accessories and publications stay with the car. This is one of the nicest A Series SP 250 s that we have had the pleasure of marketing for a very long time and must be among the best anywhere. In our opinion a sure-fire investment.
