This 1964 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia is the kind of vehicle that has always been appealing.

And as they mature into valued classic S. finding a quality complete and affordable one like this is a fleeting proposition.

The Karmann Ghia looks like a million bucks.

VW even promoted it as the Italian sports car for the common man. The graceful lines. the muscular curved rear fenders. and the slender pillars that make the roof almost look like it's floating. are all masterstrokes of '60 s design. This one has been freshened as needed. including a recent respray to give it that perfect pastel. But despite the delicate color. these cars were built with the same Teutonic tightness as the Beetle. so the sheetmetal remains strong today.

The slender chrome bumpers are in nice shape. the VW hubcaps still have a mirror-like presence. and all the unique trim pieces shine up well. making this a car that still draws appreciative stares wherever it goes.

Just like the exterior the interior has a stylish feeling while proudly wearing its VW DNA.

The off-white cloth and blue vinyl seats look upscale and comfortable. Most of the interior components appear original and complete. which is what everyone loves to see at the car shows today. You'll even love all the original '60 s touches. like the info stickers in the glovebox.

But if you do feel there is a piece or two that you would like to update. the parts catalog is just as available and affordable as the Beetle.

The Wolfsburg two-spoke steering wheel and gearshift are familiar to classic VW owners. but beyond that is a lower. sportier dash setup.

This includes a wider array of VDO gauges and even the correct AM/FM radio.

Now only does it still work. but you even get the original Bendix manual that came with this option!

When you check out the engine bay out back. the air-cooled flat-four engine should be instantly recognizable to VW fans.

TERMS OF SALE

Vehicle may be sold by Streetside Classic Cars prior to the end of the auction. Streetside Classic Cars reserves the right to end its auctions early or to cancel bids solely at its discretion and shall not be held liable for any such cancellation.

The winning bidder is required to contact Streetside Classic Cars within 24 hours after the close of the auction to finalize the details of the transaction.

A $500 Paypal deposit is required immediately upon selecting the Buy-It-Now option. The $500 Paypal deposit is non-refundable as ending an e Bay auction and not buying the vehicle is very damaging to the seller. Any refunds will be at the sole discretion of Streetside Classic Cars and are not guaranteed.

If winning bidder does not contact Streetside Classic Cars and submit deposit within 48 hours of auction close. vehicle may be made available to the next highest bidder or another qualified buyer on a first come. first serve basis.

For balance of payment we will accept bank wire transfer (preferred). cashier's check. or personal check (vehicle shipment will be delayed until check clears).

Streetside Classic Cars has represented this vehicle to the best of its ability. Prospective bidders are encouraged to contact us directly to provide additional information or answer any questions.

Please be aware that all pre-owned vehicles. regardless of age. mileage. or manufacturer are subject to cosmetic wear and mechanical failure.
