Lancia Appia Furgoncino 1957
The Lancia Appia Furgoncino (Little Van) was produced from 1954 through to 1959. In total 2850 were made. 1219 of which were the more desirable 2nd series. The engine is a narrow angle V4 of 1090cc producing 36. 5bhp taking it to a top speed of 65mph. with a five speed gearbox.
This LHD 2nd series Appia Furgoncino was imported from Italy in the summer of 2013. It is believed to have belonged to a furniture shop near Milan.
Restoration was started some years ago. The paintwork was stripped back. new floors and sills were welded in as well as some bodywork and rear spring hanger on the near side. The offside corner and spring hanger still need to be finished. Although covered in surface rust it is in extremely solid order. It has alloy doors and bonnet which are in excellent condition.
The front seats and door panels are in nice original condition.
It is 99% complete. all the alloy trims. glass and trim parts not in the photos come with the vehicle.
The wheels have been refurbished and are shod with unused Michelin Super Comfort tyres.
It is U. K. registered with an age related number plate and V5 document.
It is also tax free and MOT exempt.
One of only 3 such vans in the U. K. this is a fabulous opportunity to purchase an extremely rare vehicle for easy restoration.
