Requesting Price

Before you send me that

awful question. "what's your bottom line". let's

take a moment to explain market values and how to get a deal

on e Bay. There isn't any "Book Value" from the Kelly Blue

Book or NADA Guide on a car like this. Figures both selling

and buying for cars like this are subjective in nature and

the only number that counts. if you are the seller. is the

one from a serious buyer that makes you an offer. Over 29

years in the business. dealers like myself. buy and sell by

looking at what the rarity is and how difficult it may be to

find such a unique vehicle like this one.

Do I have an asking price? Sure. I posted that price. but that number

may have nothing to do with

what you may offer or be willing to pay. That is

why we sell exclusively on e Bay and at other reputable

auctions. The numbers or offers come from the buyers that

are serious and just like me. make their own minds up as to

what they are willing to spend. We are here to sell cars.

With fourteen years exclusively on e Bay and perfect

feedback. it's obvious we do.

Real buyers with serious offers in mind.

either bid and they almost always call us. They

almost always want to talk to the person in charge that's

me. I want to talk to you too and help you own this awesome

vehicle. It keeps me in business. So. if you want a

fantastic vehicle like you see here. one that is far above

the average in condition. serviced and documented like this.

simply call. Asking through email for my bottom line? Well.

I just think you're not too serious or willing to make an

offer makes it a waste of my time and yours. If you just

want to know what the market value is. do what we do. look

at the vehicle closely and try to find another just

like it with similar rarity and documentation.

If you can't find one. just decide what it is worth to you

to own it. That is what I did and all we can hope for is

that you offer a bit more than I did so I can stay in

business. Most important though. since

you "are" a serious and capable buyer. call me and let's

talk. I don't wear a Plaid Coat. I don't talk really fast

and I am the guy in charge. the owner. enthusiast and

purveyor of some of the finest cars on the internet. not to

mention the best thorough presentations.

Let's talk. Call

me

Doug

Certain cars bring back such great childhood

memories for me and this is one of those. My parents never

owned one! But! They owned several wagons. So many that I

cannot remember my parents not having a wagon while I was

growing up. Why is THIS wagon such an "Icon" for me? Well

because it WAS the COOLEST wagon back in its day. The

Skylight and Lateral Glass Roof Panels were the dream for

any kids that had to ride in the back of wagons. I probably

couldn't count the times I asked my dad to buy one of these.

Having traversed the United States from East Coast to West

Coast several times as a kid. I've spent countless hours in

the third row seat of wagons in my lifetime. So. that's my

story of wagons. What's yours? I know you're looking at

this wagon for a reason. Your either a collector and know

just how rare these 1970 Vista Cruisers are and you want to

add it to your collection or you want this wagon because it

was one of your favorite memories like mine is for me. I

have been in the collectible car business now for over

fourteen years and I don't miss these Vista Cruisers Wagons

or Buick Sport Wagons any time I see them come up for sale.

Problem has been. not being able to find one that was a show

quality car. Most were beat. un-restored or just rust

buckets and I don't care how much I've wanted one. I was not

going to buy a project wagon. For anyone that has nicely

restored a car these days. you know what I am talking about.

BIG MONEY! TONS OF TIME and a large portion of your garage

that has a heap in it for years. Well. here's your chance to

own a spectacular 70 Vista Cruiser that's done already. A no

expense spared. high dollar restoration. not fully back to

stock original. but modified tastefully and the way most of

us would do it ourselves. Give it that Vista Cruiser 442

look and the right color combination that's NOT GREEN.

How did we find this gem? Well. it was right here in Las

Vegas. The owner spent the last 13 years restoring it. spent

well over $30. 00 doing so and then had to clear out some of

the collection of cars at his home. We got lucky to be the

first ones on the ground when it came available. Cash in

hand. he turned over the clear title and a binder of

receipts and photos and excited we drove off to the shop

enjoying the ice cold air conditioning in this nostalgic

ride.

This Vista Cruiser was done

right. at least in my 30 year professional opinion. Yes. if

you are a "purest" this may not be for you. But if you are

wanting the sharpest looking Vista Cruiser in the show. this

is for you. The white paint and body are absolutely stunning.

laser straight and exceptionally laid well and polished

perfectly. The trim on the body is exceptional as well. Most

of it looks like brand new. The bumpers are fully redone. the

442 Rally Wheels. painted to match with all the chrome trim

are stunning. The interior was beautifully done. Not back to

the original vinyl. but a two tone tweed that looks great. The

the carpet is new and headliner is orignal and in great

condition. I noticed one small tear towards the rear. very

small but shown in the pictures. The glass roof is

exceptional. the undercarriage is refinished too. No evidence

of rust or rust repair anywhere in the car. The body shop that

did the work on this car de-trimmed it and removed and

replaced all seals and rubber. The rear window and door

functions perfectly. The tail-lights are like new. The Tires.

the same. The engine starts. runs and drives excellent.

Steering and brakes are great. I would not call a thirty

thousand dollar restoration cheap by any means and this Vista

Cruiser is absolutely beautiful in every way. If you haven't

scrolled through the 202 pictures yet. you should. you'll see

what I am talking about and why I speak so fondly of this

Wagon.

Extreme quality condition mechanically

and cosmetically. ZERO rust western car. the likes of

which you won't find back east for sure. When you see

underneath this wagon you will see what I mean. Also we

posted a few of the restoration pictures too. see what

the car looked like before 30 k was spent on it. The only

item that didn't work was the AM radio. All lights and

guages work great.

Above the original books and Protect-o-Plate

Above many of the original owner's maintenance

receipts dating back to 1978

Above many of the second owner's restoration and

maintenance receipts dating back to 2009 when he bought

the car.

Pictures below are from when he bought it and

some of the restoration photos

A note from the owner.

I am a “used car dealer” but before that.

I'm an automobile enthusiast.

I love original rare and high

quality modified vintage cars and over the past decade I've

been in business. have come to appreciate an expanding

selection of high-demand. high value vehicles.

I specialize

in and am always on the lookout for cars and trucks that

were cherished by their previous owners.

I have an

experienced eye for quality but I've discovered that my

preferred buyer can instantly discern such a vehicle and I

have therefore. built my business and reputation around

finding these kinds of cars for this type of customer.

Super low miles and/or gentle ownership are strict

requirements but a car must do something for me on a

personal level if there is any hope of convincing you. the

bidder. that this is an above average. exceptional

vehicle.

If nothing about the car excites me. it probably

won't do much for you either and I would soon be out of

business.

With just four employees and no sales

people. I realize how unusual a “dealership” like mine may

at first glance appear.

It has taken great care and effort

to create such an organization and often. an unusually high

investment in a particular car we are about to list.

To

sell the best it is critical to have a trusted expert in my

corner and Chris. owner of

A-Best Auto Repair

in Henderson. Nevada has my back.

He and his crew can fix

anything from a low budget beater to the absolute

most expensive exotic you can name. no job is too big and no

small detail unimportant.

They do an exhaustive 130 point

inspection on each and every vehicle and nothing escapes

their methodical investigation.

Experience has shown that

everything I spend making a car truly “right” will come back

to me not only with a higher selling price. but a happy

customer that says good things about me.

Moreover it

allows my writer to describe the car with ease and

confidence. something that simply is not possible unless

he thinks it is true.

If major issues are found or the

cost of fixing the car the way it should be makes it too

expensive to sell. my choice is an easy one.

I simply

absorb a few hundred dollars loss for my trouble and sell it

at auction.

After the vehicle is fully sorted it

arrives at our facility where it encounters the suspicious

eye of Tom. my writer that creates the presentations you see

on e Bay.

He believes absolutely nothing I or anyone else

tells him about the car as he combs over every inch.

researches its history and documents originality and

authenticity.

Historical significance. rarity. special

features. possible modifications and much more are used to

accurately describe the vehicle with integrity and honesty.

Most important for the potential buyer are the 100 to 150

high resolution pictures that I take myself.

The pricey

equipment I use would be right at home in the hands of the

very best professional photographers and I've developed a

logical format that walks you around the entire vehicle with

close-up shots of every square inch.

I provide detailed

views of the interior. under the hood and then put it on a

lift to show the undercarriage and confirm that the beauty

of the car you are considering is not merely skin deep.

Even our detailers are enthusiastic about the cars they so

meticulously clean.

This reconditioning can sometimes take

several days and I've converted a paint booth. especially

prepared for the professional clay bar and polishing each

car lovingly receives.

Usually. I'll also include a high

definition video that shows the car doing its thing.

If

it's a fast car. we film it going fast.

If it's a 4 x 4

you'll see it crawling up a hill.

In every case you will

hear things like a rumbling exhaust. working sound system

and watch the temperature fall on a digital. laser

thermometer pointed at an air conditioning vent.

How many

“dealers” will video a Lotus Esprit doing a buck-eighty? We

do.

No “dealer. on-line or in the real

world. takes it to this level.

No other seller or

organization provides you. the buyer. with so much

information.

I do this because it is the only way I can

convince a person often a world away. unable to touch or

feel their purchase. that my vehicle is for real and what I

say is the truth.

All the above is necessary for me to stay

in business while keeping integrity intact.

I want every

buyer to be happy and I need glowing feedback on

e Bay.

To accomplish that I need satisfied customers that

are as thrilled with their purchase as I was when I bought

it.

If you have any questions at all. please

call me on my cell at: .

If your inquiry is

sincere and your offer serious. you'll find me the most

accommodating business partner you've ever dealt with.

If

you call or e-mail asking for my reserve or “what is my

bottom line” I will be looking for ways to politely end the

conversation.

Until you are ready to actually pull the

trigger. I will happily quote you the absolute highest

nationally advertised suggested retail price I can find – a

number we both know will not buy the car so. don't waste

your time. or mine.

I am after all. a “used car dealer. ”

Serious buyers know the maximum they can

offer.

I then must simply decide if I can sell for that

number.

If you hit the reserve. the decision is no

longer mine.

I must sell at that number.
