Vehicle Description

We just purchased this 1949 Hudson from a Museum in Southern Oregon. Due to a Capital improvement call for renovation work. we lucked out securing a pretty cool piece of local history.

The car was originally owned by a fighter pilot in the Korean War. The family stored the vehicle for over 40 years. before a Doctor bought it and donated it to the Museum.

My Daughter and I first saw it 4 years ago while picking up a 1919 Speedster we bought from them. I knew then. the history a. lone was cool. yet the look of it was too much to resist. Every year. I have tried and failed to purchase this car. This was our lucky week!

The body had been in the process of being block sanded and prepped for paint. The engine/car has 24. 35 k documented miles on it. We have the original window sticker. bill of sales. financing papers. work orders. service records. etc. Everything that came with the car. to the Bill of sale from when we bought it. is in our possession.

The engines are built like tanks (not to mention the car) The 254. 5 ci/128 hp 6 cylinder was considered fast at the time. The 3 speed manual 3 on the tree helped propel it down the road very nicely.

The interior has held up pretty good. Moisture from storage had something to do with the door panels warping a bit.

They are intact enough to use as templates. The seats are in rather good shape considering the age. The wiring for ignition has all been redone by the museum. Right now. the car runs and drives down the road nicely.

As with all our shop cars. a plan for restoration will be put in place and executed. Since block sanding has begun. we will continue with that in the areas the Museum was working. A coat if black prime will be sprayed to protect the metal.

We can help facilitate shipping anywhere in the world. Most of the time. we can have a firm price for you on shipping "door to door''. unless your street limits our trucks access. within an hours time. once we have your City and zip code. The Buyer is always responsible for shipping fees. Our preferred shippers request "Cash" upon delivery of vehicle unless arrangements are made Pryor to trucks departure from our shop. International shipping will require fees be paid upon booking on the Container Ship. International shipping processes will be facilitated from our shop. After that. all responsibilitys will be that of the Buyer.

To all potential Buyers: Shipping a car is easier than you think. We ship several cars a week and you have your option of "open" or "enclosed" trailers.

We will be more than happy to help you decide which one fits your needs (and your cars) We are here to help make this part of the transaction go as easy as possible. if the shipping of a car is what's getting in the way of making a decision on buying one of our cars. don't let it. We do this every day and will make the process as easy as possible for you.

I can tell you first hand that there's nothing better than getting that call from the driver that says "I'm 30 minutes away". Thirty minutes later. the back doors open up. and there it is!! Always inspect the car. and compare the condition to the sheet filled out at our shop before it left. Once satisfied that its the car you bought. hand the driver his money. grab your keys and go for a ride!

We also get quite a few calls from potential Buyers asking if the car they are bidding on will make it from our shop in Gig Harbor. Wa. to their house. My answer is always. Absolutely! Now. it might have to be towed the last 875 miles. but indeed it will make it. Actually. every car is different. but. for the most part. all our cars are old and have not been tested for a marathon.

Your asking if a 1963 Corvette with a low mile engine will make it? I would treat it like a Football player that has sat on the bench all season. then. the day of the Super Bowl. tell him to get in there and play Quarterback in a no huddle offense.

It could work. but it might also be ugly.

Take it slow and easy without running her 2. 87 miles in 2 days. and you might have a chance. Just tow the dam thing please!

Purchasing cars without seeing them in person is scary. You have to rely heavily on what we are saying. plus hoping that the pictures we have taken show everything you would want to see in person. Rest easy on the pictures. they are taken by me with my i Pad. I take pictures of all areas that I want to see when I buy a car. There up close. real. raw. and hopefully enough to show you what you want.
