Up for auction is my 1965 CHEVROLET C10 SHORT WHEEL BASE STEP SIDE PICKUP TRUCK.  This truck has a rich Central Texas History. it was bought new by the Texas Department of Human Resource's and was sold to the second owner in the mid 1970's. The truck has spent it's entire life in dry Central Texas and has had only 2 owners. The first owner was the State of Texas and the second owner lived his entire life on his families ranch in Bandera Tx. The truck was driven until 1986 and then it was parked inside a shed on the ranch until two years ago when I bought the truck. My oldest son was 14 years old when I bought the truck and the plan was to restore the truck for him but he changed his mind when he turned 16 and wanted a Jeep so I am going to sell this truck to help pay for his Jeep. This truck is IN AMAZING ORIGINAL CONDITION. IT HAS WHAT IS LEFT OF THE ORIGINAL PAINT. GREAT PATINA. RUST FREE FLOORS AND THE REST OF THE BODY IS RUST FREE WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE TWO HOLES ABOVE THE WINDSHIELD THAT I HAVE PICTURED.  The truck does have a dented front drivers side fender and the cab corner on the passenger side is dented. There are other minor dings dents etc. but nothing bad enough to have to buy another panel to fix them. I am very impressed with the condition and history of this truck and have thought about keeping it for myself as a shop truck but I found another truck at the Goodguys Hot Rod Show at the Texas Motor Speedway a month or so ago and I can't keep them both. THE MOTOR DOES RUN WITH AN OUTSIDE FUEL SOURCE. the fuel tank was beyond saving so at this time the truck does not have a fuel tank. it does however have a new sending unit that will be sold with the truck along with the original rubber floor covering. driveshaft and seat belts. The seat has the original cover still on it and I included a picture of the interior of the truck as it was when I bought the truck. The picture shows the original seat. floor covering etc. My Sons and I took out the entire interior and when we had removed the rubber floor covering (completely intact) we found a perfect and rust free floor. we cleaned the interior completely. removed the fuel tank and installed a new saddle blanket seat cover over the original seat cover and re-installed the seat etc. The 3 speed manual transmission was frozen when I bought the truck so I sent the truck to Cambridge Automotive in San Antonio Tx. and they removed the transmission and sent it out to be rebuilt but it was beyond repair so I bought a POWERGLIDE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION out of a 1964 Chevrolet Impala to put in the truck but I never had the Powerglide rebuilt and it is not installed in the truck but it does come with the sell of the truck. The truck has 5 good tires and matching Chevrolet hubcaps. As you can tell by the pictures all the trucks panels are in great condition and the front fender is easily repairable. I think that the worse drawback to this truck is that it does not have a title but it is eligible for a bonded title and will be sold with a bill of sale. THIS TRUCK IS NICE AND COMPLETE AND WILL MAKE ANY NEW OWNER PROUD TO OWN IT. I found some old paper work in the glove compartment that will also be sold with the truck. The truck is a fantastic restoration project or just put the Powerglide in it and drive it the way it is. If you have any questions please message me through eBay and if you are a serious bidder I will call you and talk to you about the truck. Please check out my feedback. bid with confidence and bid to win the fine little truck. Thank you for looking at my auction. please check out my other auctions and as always HAPPY MOTORING.        *****PLEASE DO NOT BID IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE FUNDS READILY AVAILABLE. IF YOU WIN THE TRUCK I REQUIRE A $500. 00 NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT WITHIN 24 HOURS AND COMPLETION OF FUNDING WITHIN 7 DAYS OF THE END OF THE AUCTION. PLEASE ABIDE BY MY REQUIREMENTS AS THEY MAKE FOR A BETTER BUSINESS TRANSACTION. *************          *******I WILL CONSIDER VINTAGE CARS. MOTORCYCLES AND PARTS IN FULL OR PARTIAL TRADE********

Comments and questions to the seller:

from Yasemin, dated 03 may 2018
Good morning, I'm Yasemin from Cuxhaven/Germany. I have a question: why this truck does not have a title? And is it difficult to get new title?
Best regards
